Hey all,
I recently bought an army of Khador models so that I could get into the game quickly and with a lot of options. In the army was the Man-o-war Drakhun solo but only the mounted model. Are there any suggestions on how to get the dismount model from somewhere?
Thanks!

The dismount model is just a man o war shocktrooper, back in mkI the drakhun didn't come with a dismount for production reasons. Now note the armour design on the drakhun and the plastic dismount you get in the newer kits are different. If you have OCD for that sort of inconsistency like me then you'll get a metal shocktrooper and use the conversion bits from the drakhun on that (should be a horn and a shoulder emblem). Ended up converting the extra plastic shockie into a kovnik.

See, my Drakhun came with a plastic dismount. Which was a regular shocktrooper with a metal Mohawk and a new shoulder pad.

I followed what cplmustard did. I received a unit of shocktroopers in a bulk purchase lot, I was able to make two shocktrooper, which filled out a short unit I had, and the left over commander I converted. Ordered the head and shoulder pad from Privateer and shaved off the head of the Shocktrooper commander and glued the Drakun head on. Quick shoulder pad swap and I got my dismount. Except for the head and shoulder all other parts seem to be the same.
Just my 2cp,

When I bought my old style drakhun, the store had an old metal single shocktrooper so I just used that. The new kit for my second Drakhun had a model for the dismount included.

Thanks for the advice. This kind of takes the conversation down a different path, but I have the bombardier bombshell, which I understand can be a stand-in for a MOW bombardier.... Could I potentially use her as a stand-in for the dismount drakhun? She seems to serve little purpose if she can only fill in as a bombardier.

No reason not to, as long as your opponent allows it. Probably wouldn't float in a tournament though.
If I do acquire some MoWs I plan to use her as their leader model. Right now she is just sitting in a drawer (for nearly 5 years) while I paint up the models I'll actually be using.

I don't think it'll be allowed in a tourney either. I just use her as the unit leader for my bombardiers as well.

As long as you swap her rocket for an annihilator blade and give her a shockie shield and the drakhun bits I don't see any reason why a judge wouldn't allow her. She'd be 100% privateer bits after all, bring a replacement just in case though. Maybe I'm biased because I really want to see this conversion become a real thing
