So I've been playing Z2 for a while, when she can just straight up kill someone or deal with infantry she's great. I've been having somewhat more trouble running into more cagey opponents. I scrapped behemoth, took out filler and dropped the max outriders to min, leaving me with enough points to get gorman, 2 marauders and a demolisher.
So the current list is

I've got enough points to get a 4th marauder but I think the demolisher is at once a good scenario piece, a good way to keep aiyana/valachev alive through blast damage and also if it moves up far enough it can outshoot the behemoth when the target is stationary. So probably worth the extra marauder, especially since I get gorman as well. We'll see though, might be better to just go marauder spam.
When I was rebuilding it I was thinking of using sac lamb but I just cant afford throwaway warrior models. even a 10 point unit of winterguard would probably be better as a marauder in this list. The main point of rebuilding was make sure assassination was still extremely strong but to take out the overkill. I almost never needed all 8 horses.. the few games I did probably would've been better with the two marauders+demolisher. I think to make the assassination good you need either syllys or reinholdt, two units of spray ponies and the carriage. The boostable jack shots are nice, but don't always happen and shouldn't be relied upon.
It won all three games tonight but we'll see if I can continue it. It does seem nice to have a wall of jacks to hide my outriders behind for a turn or two. And it seems far better at holding zones with three heavies. But I played into Cygnar every match (and never stryker) so it was kind of predator/prey situation tonight.
