Huh, I hadn't heard about the Crucible Guard, that's very interesting. Haven't seen the model yet, but already I want to convert it to look like Raziel. From Legacy of Kain? That would be awesome...

There's one of the model previews A glimpse of their tanks Given their current look and what we know from IKRPG, combined with their history as basically a cornerstone of technology, I get the impression they're going to be Warmachine's Adeptus Mechanicus.

Interesting caster, I think i like him, though i'm not floored. Looks fun and has the potential to do some pretty cool shenanigans, but isn't stupidly overpowered like Una2 at drop, etc. Pretty cool.

Jetpacks? That's new. Looks like he's about to drop a bomb, I'm guessing a rule that will allow the rocketmen (somebody had better put fins on their helmets!) to jump over a unit and drop an AOE on them, or something along those lines.

That's CoC. Btw, they gonna have tanks? That's not possible, every ground vehicle in Immoren has to walk on at least 2 legs.

I think the rocket packs fit into the setting but the tanks not so much. For me one of the defining features of the setting is that while there's trench warfare and a lot of WWI references mixed into the fantasy, tanks and other wheeled contraptions* just arent used.
*I can accept War Wagons Gun Carriages as chariots and that makes them OK sorta OK.

Crucible Guard have advanced tech but they're clearly still human and still fit into the aesthetic shared by the other human factions, and they represent a foundation of technology and innovation that all the iron kingdom's current tech was born from. CoC is so different that they might as well be a different race entirely.

With the updates to Gastonne2 this is what I'm thinking.
(Crosse 2) Lieutenant Crosse, Resistance Fighter [+29] - Galleon [39] - Mangler [15] - Mangler [15] - Nomad [11] Exemplar Errants(max) [16] -Errant CA [4] Choir of Menoth [4]
Feat is now a go in alpha strike and back off with stealth and ignore free strikes if you failed to kill something. +3 arm and tough and ghostly on errants is AMAZING. Choir on manglers is so good, and Choir on galleon all game seems fun. I think this list with him either using choir or errants as shield guards. You get 1 free solo, whichever you want I guess. (probably gibbs for repo and feign death on your caster !)

Interesting. I thought I read you could take ONE Cygnar or Menoth unit though? So it's either Errants OR Choir? Or did I misunderstand?

The new versions says any TWO unit from one faction, and other than Cygnar and Menoth, now includes Crucible Guard (so Llallese jetpacks coming. ). I'm just a little sad that mercs get to play Cygnar combinations that I can't bring, like Stormlances and Trenchers in the same theme (Haley3 would be extatic).

As a Cygnar and Merc player, I am over the moon to be able to play Trenchers and Stormblades together. I've been rocking a Stryker1 list with both out of theme for a while, and this should be interesting. Crosse looks to be a good choice for it too.

We don't really know what they've got planned on that front. Neither do they based on the changes from the initial morrowan-hybrid mishmash that this theme started as.
