Rask into armor spam is fine. With rage and fury you get up to pow 23 and can get free charges. Depending on your order of activations and if you need bought dless charge or if hunters mark works...you can sometimes put admo up on that beast after if there are other threats around. If not sometimes pow 20 with just rage is enough.
I run the bokur and shamblers in my Rask listen as well which is great for using hand of glory on another nearby jack then disrupting it with Rask to take another heavy jack out of the game for a turn while your wrastlers just continue to destroy enemy heavies. I personally run 2 wrastlers and a snapper plus 3 max posse, but I know the super friends list is crazy good as well.
One of my last games between rage/fury/admonition swaping, one wrastlers killed behemoth, a marauder, and a juggernaut. Rask just has the tools to trade well. Or deny trading.

I am testing the 7 min posse build but want to try 3 max units as well and see which I prefer. I figured 2 wrestlers was the way to go but figured I should inquire about the spitter battle group as well.
So I still need to/want to play Rask for a while but I am buying some stuff for caliban list. I'm thinking of running this to pair with him any thoughts to improve?
Caliban 2x spitter Blindwalker Sacral vault 2x croak raiders 2x mist speaker Witch doc Totem hunter Feralgeist Gobber chef

That is all in on the ranged. I honestly like having a wrastler in case there is a gargossal or 3-4 heavies. I also love the double vault build atm.
I think your list has serious assassination potential and depending on what they throw at you you could attrition well.
As for 7 min posse vs 3 max, Its more points for the 7 and only 1 more gator. and they really dont take fury well at that point, I have seen that 7 min posted somewhere, but I am not sure why min units over max. Fury gets so much more mielage on max units.

Well the matter of pact podcast touched on it some. I believe their reasoning was more spread out units for flexibility and scenario and more gators. I wanted to test it but with the new scenario packet at first glance I like the look of the min for flexibility especially if you have to play into Haley you can surround her a little better to make it hard to focus things down but I still need more testing.
The caliban list I wanted to drop into crux, I like double spitter most speaker in case they drop gaspy2 with cloud wall but I understand that having a wrastler is more flexible. The solo package has tied me up I just am not sure on witch doc, feral and gobber chef being the best choices.

If you're spending 70pts on posse you get 21 posse. Vs 68pts for 20. So you get one extra but you already hit the next free solo mark. And honestly with that many med bases you're covering the same space...one more guy should not make or break the game. And like I said the benefit of fury on 5-10 dudes or 3-6(hot swaping) is very noticable. Especially when models start dying.

Thanks, I appreciate the feedback. I want to test Gastons 3 units and wrong and snapjaw next and then I will be trying 4 full units. However in the meta where people prep for Fyanna I am thinking the 4 max units may be the way to go.

Pendrake can be extremely valuable in that matchup

He is one I have a hard time with. He's so good when you need him but most of the time I find myself wanting a totem hunter or bullsnapper for holding a zone and the animus more.

It's true. But he can contribute with his bow or bola and hold flags if you aren't using beast lore. He is situational but if you're facing fayanna he could be a got send.

I completely agree. I've been trying to keep the Rask list as general as possible and keep caliban to cover cryx and maybe a couple of other infantry heavy list pairings.

Regarding number of Posse: In my last games I used to run 2x max and 2x min Posse. That way...
... I don´t have to buy a lot of boxes just to get the unit leaders ... I get 2 max units for the center of the board which will recive Fury ... I get 2 smaller units for flanking purposes (normally they are too far awyay from Rask to be a Fury target anyway
I add a min unit of Bog Trog Ambushers to get more than 60 points in dudes. You can also run 2 max and 3 min units of posse to reach the 60 points mark for max free points.

I am playing Rask with Pendrake & 7x min Posse. I was not sold on the min. Units, too. However, after I have tried it, I got to say it is insanely good. You swarm the table but you will almost never have any issues with order of activation.
It is really difficult to describe, why I like it sooo much better than the max units and I can only recommend trying it. Both ways definitely have things going for them. But if you look at Fury doing so much more... Usually I am sending a unit with Fury into a Heavy... Everyjack except Khador Jacks will be killed by a min Unit with Fury and Khador Jack will definitely be crippled.
If you want Rask to cover everything, there is no way around Pendrake unfortunately. I would have prefered a Totem Hunter, but no can do. Pendrake is crucial for Circle and Legion, but I have always made use of him by either holding a flag, or killing one infantry model a turn until he is in range of a Heavy with his Bola. It is one of the few ways to get around "high" def like 12, that you will want for your Posse.

Thanks for sharing baba I will use him a few more times and see how I like it compared to snapper or totem h. I need to get some more croaks and see how caliban does into circle, I'm guessing not great but I want to try it out. A lot of people have said caliban isn't great into legion so I'll take their word for it for now and play it out later when I can.
If you guys have any Rask battle reports please post them up I still am very much in the learning stage and would love to read them.

Calaban into Circle unfortunately is a pretty terrible idea. This is why: #1 Calaban needs the enemy to have easy to kill units to be able to really make use of his feat. #2 Calabans is supposed to play into Cryx, which will have him end up with a Sacral Vault and most likely 2 shooty units. The currently most played lists will have either of these: #1 Sentry Stones (insanely good at trading into your shooty units #2 A lot of Wolf-Heavies, which are very difficult to deal with for Calaban #3 They might be playing Bones of Orboros with a Woldwrath, that Calaban simply cannot deal with at all. Especially the 3. option will cripple the options to use Calaban into Circle as there is no way to win against it with Calaban. You will need something like Rask or Arkadius to be able to deal with the big ape and as I said, Rask with Pendrake, does that quite decent.

Thanks baba! I can't wait for the new episode of matter of pact, I made a list for caliban using one vault and 2 max croaks but Rickard piloted 2 vaults in his list. I'm hoping he goes over the pros and cons of 1v2 or why he went two. I won't be testing caliban for a bit because I want to focus on Rask and see how each match up plays. I'm hoping to get in a lot of practice in iron arena at Gencon lol and then maybe I'll start to work on caliban but I still need that second croak unit.
