maybe it's because Cephalyx is the one part of mercs I don't have anything for, and now that my wife has said "no more models" I occasionally find myself really wanting them, but this is AWESOME!

So the match was pretty nuts. One of the players lost both heavies in the same round at one point. The game came down to player 1 ending his turn with 36 seconds on his clock and a heavy sitting in walking distance of player 2's Exulon Thexus. Player 2 use TK and his feat to.move the heavy away. Got Thexus as far behind terrain as he could, and plopped a few drudges between Thexus and the heavy. He ended his turn with 6 minutes and change on his clock. Player 1 agitated, trampled to Thexus, and was about a centimeter out of melee range. And that was it. Player 1 only had 6 seconds on his clock. He conceded, they shook hands, and instead of the tournament ending right there it went into a fifth round. It was a fantastic last few turns to watch.

I was playing the painted Thexus, and this game was a wonderful grindfest. My opponent and I are from the same area and were super excited to play this matchup on Tyson's Cephalyx table. Our lists were slightly different in that I ran 2x Dominated Thorn Gun Mages, while my opponent ran the full 60 drudges. He was up on attrition for most of the game, due to having more models to begin with and rolling better on tough checks. Fortunately for me, he took a minute or two too long in one of the later turns bringing me ahead on clock to win the game. I took pictures as the game went on. Due to clock being a factor I missed one or two pics towards the end, but the final look at the board was at the end of the game. Here's the album: goo.gl/photos/5ob2iPstrxjsiGEi7
