Well my thread on the CID forums got shut down so I will post here istead. I like you guys better anyways! Now that we have the first Structure typed model with the Blockhouse, what do people expect from them going forwards? The rules released specifically describe them as "large and immobile artillery, sacred shrines, or other fixed positions" so Menoth looks like it will be getting its Porta-Church in the near future (will be taking suggestions for a better nickname). How do you expect the Immobile rule to work out on the table? Will they do to easy to counter with deployment? What do you want to see in your favorite faction? And who remembers these beauties from MK1? (my image skills fail) The Khadoran Avalanche Cannon The Menoth Alter of Flame The Cygnar Storm Research Station The Cryx Necrotite Mining Rig Discus!

I'm interested in their point cost. As they could be very handy at dominating zone control games. Especially if they come with any sort of ranged attack.
Id like to see some bunkers!

I would take the Blockhouse in a second actually, but I think there is also some other interesting options to look at as well.
What about a "Kommand Tent" that can hand out battle plans and buff our casters while they remain in B2B with it?
Or a Machine shop that can repair and tune up Warjacks/Man-O-War/Battle Engines?

It'd be sweet if the Khador structure also granted D3 recursion. Imagine being able to bring back your sac-pawns every turn. It wouldn't be broken in the least! 😜

I think it will take some time before we get a structure. We know the first khador CID is going to be about Man O War and we know they will get a battle engine, my guess it that it will be our only huge base of the book. Also I don't really see a man o war structure as something that is deployed forward like the trencher blockhouse.

Some sort of Orgoth artifact? Returning Doom Reavers? To much to hope for?

Lol I don't see it happening, but a forward building where they just chain convict to fellblades to give doom reavers recursion would be hilarious. An orgoth artefact could be cool and would allow a lot of creative things. Is it a support thing? A soul collecting thing? An orgoth death beam (imagine Zerkova1's gun but bigger), all these things at once? They could get really creative and give us more than just a big canon. I'm not against a big canon, but it would not exactly be an inspiring model if you ask me.

Manowar cannon that shoots manowars into enemy. Recursion+ranged damage in one package.

An orgoth death beam (imagine Zerkova1's gun but bigger), all these things at once? Could just be the Sacral Vault without the wheels! I think one of the problems with structures is incorporating them into the background of the army. A fortification for Trenchers makes sense - they build them wherever they go. A mobile(ish) Menite shrine which is placed near battlefields also makes sense - they're the kind of nation which would take something like that with them. Circle moves stones and trees around all the time. Trolls probably move larger Krielstones and the like around. So it needs to be something built or moved around. But Orgoth artifacts are in fixed locations. One can provide rationalisations as to why battles are fought near them, but the old narrative gamer in me dislikes the idea of them being always available. Maybe we can overcome this (a portableish Orgoth artifact which is immobile in battlefield conditions), but I want it to be something PP think about.

Manowar cannon that shoots manowars into enemy. Recursion+ranged damage in one package. Not Khadoran enough! A cannon that shoots bears at the enemy. When the bears land they attack all of the nearby enemy. If we need an AOE for this bear shooting cannon, we give the bears axes.

I think the Blockhouse is way too cheap for what it brings. Outside of the cost though, I think it's a mostly a "building-ier" Siege Crawler. How much does that thing cost again?
For my factions, as previously mentioned, there's the obligatory Porta-Church®, but I can also see maybe a Menoth's Fury refinery? For Legion, I recall there being a Super-Spawning Vessel in a NQ at some point. Another possibility is a Morrdhic tower of arcane lore or maybe a giant dragon skeleton.

Wow, structures mean CoC might get a new model. Crazy. I could see them getting one of those towers they build on ley lines though.
