So I've finally got around to trying out my CoC army and came up with a question about the enigma foundry's reconstruction ability. I was running a unit of reciprocators with the optifex command attachment. If all of the reciprocators are dead, but the Ua is still alive, can models still be returned to the unit? Apparently revenants can't be returned to a unit with only riflemen left in it but those are weapon attachment and not a command attachment.

Revenants can't be returned because the rule for deathbound requires the models to be placed within 3 inches of the unit leader. If there are only riflemen left then the unit leader is dead, so they can't be returned. In that case, one of the riflemen is designated the unit commander. The unit commander's job is pretty much exactly the same as a leaders, but he isn't technically a leader.
The enigma foundry on the other hand only requires putting models in formation. The optifex attachment would be the unit commander which means formation is determined from him.
