So they have just put up the ADR on the recent insider, and I really like it, while of my current lists they are super infantry heavy. What do you guys and gals of the motherland think?

Oh wow, I wasn't expecting that combination! It's nice to see Kozlov still on the roster.
I think if I was taking it to a tourney I would be bringing Irusk 2 fangs and Zerkova 1 winterguard in theme. If I wasn't playing themes, I'd bring Strak 2 and Kozlov

Lol they really want us to run legion of steel, these are all the best casters to run the theme if I'm not mistaken. Which is kinda funny since there isn't much ADR variation you'd want from ADR, except maybe switching ulhans and pikemen...Or redfang and blackfang... Z1 is kinda of a required drop to deal with ghost fleet if I'm not mistaken. Although I think I could live with the Z1 SK2 pairing, Z1 looks like she could do a lot with 40 pts of ADR.

Seems like a good mix.
I2 and S2 could be a good combination.
But they all like LoS.

ADRing LoS might be interesting. You put 40 pts of jacks in ADR and then bait&switch people into pulling out their anti infantry list.
I think Kozlov should be able to pull off jack heavy (around 5-6) if you want it with either Seers or Malakov helping out since his feat doesn't care for battlegroup anyway. Otherwise yeah, ADR is pretty much locked into infantry spam, the choice is between wg/kayazy/fang variety.

I'm a bit bummed they didn't include a jack caster, but yes no duds in the list. And OW2 will be added when she releases, and she can be run VERY battlegroup heavy.
My question is this: in a world of theme lists, is ADR relevant? Sure, if you were going to play those casters anyway why not? But are you actually gaining much?
if you brought Zerkova in Legion and Irusk Jaws are you really swapping out tech after the list drop? Yes, at the margin I might swap out the Conquest for 3 heavies if my opponent brought Marauder spam...but it just doesn't seem like that big a gain relatively speaking.

Looks nice on first sight, but sadly not even a single jack caster inside. That's yet another lost opportunity. - Still, a nice choice to play just one list with 40 points of specialists at small local tourneys.

Because no-one else was including the actual picture. Kozlov, Strak2, Zerk1 and Irusk2

It can be quite relevant depending on the Theme Force imo. Yes with LoS its a bit...weak, but for example with Jaws it can do a lot. While these Casters are great and I would love to play all of them, I think neither of them really benefits much from ADR. They have very specific builds they like. Of course that might be an insentive to run them out of theme. Sadly its not that interesting for me, since the comming events don't play with ADR

Okay, I propose the Irusk2 challenge. Since he's so great with infantry and all that, how can you make a single infantry list with 40 pts of specialist that can cover the widest array of matchups possible? Let's say the second list will be tailored for those specific ones he doesn't cover. Or you can pick Strakhov 2, he seems also good with any infantry.
My first idea is: No theme Irusk 2 -Behemoth Forge Seer -Destroyer Full WGRC+3 rockets+Joe Full Uhlans Doomies that's 74/75 leaving 1 point for switches
Specialists: Min Kommandos +2x Flamers Min Mechanics Full Iron fangs, no UA Ragman Reinholdt
And the switches would be: Uhlans -> Kommandos + Reinholdt + Mechs against Fleet Doomies -> Kommandos against infantry gunlines Doomies - > Kommandos w/o flamers + mechs against jacks-based gunlines Seer+Destroyer -> Reinholdt+Fangs against Circle to get around stealth Seer+Destroyer -> Ragman+Fangs against blunt heavy spams WGRC boat -> Ragman+Fangs against Amon or similar matchups where shooting is negated
And I have no idea how to deal with leap spam, especially under Nemo3.

That'd be Irusk2 Jaws of the Wolf plus either Strakhov2 or Zerkova1 in Legion of Steel for me.
I'd see the Legion of Steel specialists as letting a list switch between a more cavalry or infantry heavy base, probably with a niche jack or two as well.
Jaws of the Wolf is probably to load up on jacks by removing some excess infantry, depending on match up.
Cheers, Dave

What is ADR and how does it impact the game/list building? Thanks!

ADR only effects Masters tournaments and gives you a 40 point side board to pick models from to swap into your list if all your lists use ONLY casters on the ADR list.
Sometimes people will run Steamroller events and put the ADR rule, but that pretty much just means it's Masters with out paining requirements...
Sometimes people will run ADR only events where everyone has to play their ADR casters.
