As an Avid Player of Khador, we have had 3/3 good lists when most factions struggle to get even 1 to be passable.
Howd it happen? And what to do to lower other faction player jealousy?

It's because we're the best, and PP is now realizing that 2. By telling them to join the motherland if they have a problem

As to the question of "why", I dunno, maybe Khador is just lucky or maybe someone high up in PP likes Khador or maybe no-one in PP play Khador so they don't realise how good something is going to be until after it's out?
Anyway, if it irritates your local players to see you running a theme list of which they feel jealous, I suppose you could:
1) Tell them you're sure it will be errata'd, so you're just trying to enjoy it before it goes away 2) Tell them the grass is always greener on the other side of the the hill, and point out some of the things their faction has of which you are jealous 3) Consider not playing the theme if you think it will interfere with your opponent's enjoyment of the game and therefore in your enjoyment of the game (After all, page 5 doesn't actually seem to exist anymore...)

While I agree 100% with crimsyn, I would also add that we actually have fairly restrictive model selection in our themes. I think this lets PP give us more interesting bonuses, which makes the themes all seem very active.
Cheers, Dave

They're good, but there's reasons to play out of theme in Khador too. If any themes need errata'd I'd vote for the Cygnar "just include all the good stuff you always use anyway and get some bonuses and free stuff" theme lists. Cheers, Dave

Because PP want everyone to play in theme all of the time, because it is the only way to internally balance a faction as it becomes more and more bloated with releases.
The Khador themes just happen to be among the ones they have got right, and they have just happened to miss the mark a bit with some of the others

If theme gives bonus for good models it's a good theme. Khador is almost entirely composed of good models.
Other factions can wait for more themes (like Menoth and exemplars) or model errata (like Cryx and banes).

Cheers, Dave I didn't say PP are going to errata the themes, I said to tell your opponent that PP will probably errata the theme (model/rule/whatever) that they are currently complaining about in order to try to reduce said opponent's irritation with said theme (model/rule/whatever). I mean, it's not like you're lying or anything; PP might change it (whatever it is), we just don't know.

I can't/don't want run any of the themes to great effect because I don't like owning/running multiples of the same thing which is generally the only effective way to play them. The closest I can get is WGK but I don't like Winter Guard so much. When the MoW theme force turns up I'll probably run that since there are a bunch of different types of MoW.

Tell them that anyone who actually assembles and plays three units of pikemen deserves to have a good theme.

In all seriousness I think Khador was well positioned for good themes before they even released. Assuming they were not all flukes (big assumption somtimes with PP), I have a theory.
Khador has a high percentage of models that run completely interdependently of each other, and we have a low percentage of "mandatory support pieces". This end up creating a very modular faction where blocks of models are taken and they support themselves, OR are internally supportive within their sub-faction (ie. Winter Guard/ Iron Fangs/ etc.). Combine this with our casters who are the main focal point for most buff effects in our armies.
Now in comes Theme Lists; PP wanted them to have strong story based ties so they ended up giving us them for our sub-factions. While a lot of factions need certain pieces as auto includes all of our sub-factions are as described above internally self supporting so we get all of the support we wanted with each Theme. We also have access to every caster regardless of Theme. Best example of this is the Iron Fang Theme; there are very few models you could list in faction that the IF Theme desperately wants to accomplish its intended play style outside of the IF sub-faction and makes great use of existing IF models.
Khador also has a very wide variety of models who are considered playable, including an extremely deep caster roster and jack selection compared to other factions which are available in every theme.

I wouldn't say only Khadors themes are good. A lot of other factions got a bunch of good themes. Like Cygnar got the 'here is a theme for that list that you're constantly running already, now take all the same models but get 20 extra points of free stuff' theme. It also probably means our MoW and Greylord themes are going to terrible
