One of the nicer "concept lists" in Mk2 imo was Sorscha 1's Ocean's list, i.e. Sorscha with lots of high quality shooting, mainly Mercs. Any thoughts on this, or versions of it, for Mk3?

Solos were the worst effected by the MK3 transition as far as costing.
Essentially it can be done, but the meta currently requires you have some ability to crack armor and I feel like S1 lacks slightly if you choose to go Oceans with your build.
Possibly a two list enviroment could open this up?
Or - and I can't believe I'm saying this - maybe the Cryx fix (sure they can say its for the Bane Theme - they're changing other stuff too lol) will force more infantry on the table, where S1 really shines.

I love Sorscha1! Since Mk2 I've also loved her Ocean's list and adapted one for Mk3. I had fun with it, but ultimately I could not make it shine enough and there were too many counters against it, lots of models with no Stationary effects, no knockdown, and lots of warjacks and beasts that could shake off whatever she did. It did work some times, but more often than not I felt that I was playing at a disadvantage. Maybe a better player could do more with it?

There are a few versions out there.

the meta currently requires you have some ability to crack armor and I feel like S1 lacks slightly if you choose to go Oceans with your build. She's never going to be a primary armor cracking list, but S1 with a colossal and Malakov1 with a Juggernaut can do quite a bit of decent armour cracking with good threat range too (12" charging Juggernaut threat combining Redline and Boundless Charge). That still leaves points for the sniper boat which was the core of the Oceans list. Probably not the best list with her, but it doesn't sound terrible. SR2017 might help, given units are becoming necessary to score.

If you're playing Oceans then you are taking Ragman and probably A&H. There is also Hatchuck and maybe Gorman (though I don't see that much point in him these days). Which means you can have as much as a +6 damage swing...
