Comrades! I have been wishing to (successfully) run Sorscha3 for a long time. I have never really managed to get her to work in Armored Korps (there is actually one on the few success story here). However, now after the quality of life update she can bring Man-o-Wars outside Armored Korps. I think I have found the perfect home for her: Jaws of the Wolf. I have written up the new list and some rationales behind it. You can find it all here: greylordarchives.blogspot.com/2022/01/jaws-of-wolf-under-kommandant-sorscha.htmlBattle reports will hopefully arrive soon: Until next time For the Motherland!

One mild correction: Kayazy Assassins actually become ARM 18 against blasts. They are 12 base, get +2 from Iron Flesh, and an additional +4 from Blast Resistance.

Also, something is weird about your Kayazy math. Assassins with the Kill Stroke mini feat that are placed in the back arc on a charge are MAT 10 (MAT 6 + 2 for Gang + 2 for back strike) 3d6 to hit (2d6 +1d6 for Kill Stroke) and P+S 12 (10 base + 2 for Gang) 4d6 (2d6 + charge + Kill Stroke).

This is so right. It seems that I forgot the +2 for back strike on the attack roll. Thank you, I have now updated it. I hope I have not made more mistakes.

How did you get 4 requisition options?
Kayazy Eliminators [0()] Kayazy Eliminators [0()] Yuri the Axe [0(4)] Bulkhead [0(5)]

Also: yeah, forgetting to feat on round 2 looks like it was a big mistake.

I turns out I did a cut 'n' paste error. The list now only has 3 requisition options Kayazy Eliminators [0(4)] Kayazy Eliminators [0(4)] Bulkhead [0(5)] and the sum is correct. Thanks. Also: yeah, forgetting to feat on round 2 looks like it was a big mistake. It was. I need to put the feat token somewhere clever so I remember to think about it.

Now that you’ve played a few times, are you finding you want at least one more warjack? With two devastators, your list starts to ask a question about armor cracking, but there’s not enough armor on the board to really matter. This might be a play style preference though.

I think that is still an open question. I probably need more games to come to a decision. However, my idea with this list is that it actually asks two (half) questions. The (half) question of heavy armour and the (half) question of highish DEF. In general, I'm not convinced that a high ARM only list can really cut it. The two exceptions might be some sort of Armored Korps with a Death Archon, against living stuff (I did a test run here). Here we can hit ARM 25, which makes a lot of sense . The other exception might be a very 'jack heavy Jaws list with on of the Karchevs, probably played very aggressively, and a Death Archon? (I haven't tried that yet - the Karchevs are still in the paint shop). I'm hoping to get a few more games in shortly. Then I might arrive at a conclusion.

I get it. I worry that by asking two half questions, you don’t really ask either question very well.

Sorscha is at it again. This time Baldur1 is roaming the country and requires a behaviour adjustment. It is not the most pretty game in history. Yet, Sorscha manage to pull out a victory. It is, however clear that either the list is not a fantastic as I have hoped for or the pilot needs more training; or both. You can read all about it here: greylordarchives.blogspot.com/2022/02/kommandant-sorscha-kratikoff-sorscha3.htmlUntil next time For the Motherland!

Good write-up as usual. You had Iron Flesh on the Assassins? What was the thought process there?

Thank you, Soul Samurai
It was partly training to remember it for later when I'll encounter blast heavy armies, and partly to avoid being blasted by the Fulcrum.
In hindsight, I should probably have stayed away from it. But ARM 18 against blast was too tempting. I'll now put it in the little black book and only do it when there actually is a lot of blast damage coming from the other end of the table.
