Lol people still tough on this thing. I read the rules and thought it was probably way OP. I mean like mind bogglingly good.. Oh well I'll text it Thursday again but I don't think I'll be disappointed.
Fa2 is gonna be the only limiter for me.

The attack rolls of all the Impact attacks are boosted. So it can do a solid infantry thresh, but will stop at medium infantry or any kind of beast. Because it should totally just thrash through all intervening models with infinite impact hits. You guys crack me up on here. How can you say this thing is still bad. Trolls are in love with the war wagon. This thing is great at jamming and being a giant durable pain in the butt. But you know keep playing your 10 jack lists I guess too bad it's not as cheap as the murauder. Projecting much? If it makes any difference I think its poop because it's being forced into a redundant role no one except Soles wanted it to be in. We were all happy with it being ranged support then suddenly we were told that its supposed to be a melee focussed shock unit.

Ummm, I just reviewed the latest PDF, it seems pretty freaking strong now. I don't think it's an auto include, but can get work done and take a lot of damage/attention. Can die just like our jacks, but because it so much faster, should be able to avoid getting alpha'd. Also with its slight point decrease it is less of a heartbreaker to lose it, when it does happen. Quick question, I understand that it can make ranged attacks while in melee, but it can't shoot things it is engaged with right?

That's the thing though, even if something has dual attack, I don't think it can shoot the stuff engaged with it? That's why I'm confused...

Maybe I am confusing myself because colossals can make ranged attacks while engaged but I don't think can target the things engaging them? That's why I'm asking I'm all mixed up now and have been searching the rules and can't figure out a straight answer.

Guys that know me know I love my carriages, I'm gonna miss the gun platforms I become accustomed to, but this thing can actually be a decent spearhead now, instead of our usual "I know I'm not getting the alpha so let me offer this sacrificial model" BTW, may not be warranted but I'm totally claiming credit removing the 3 inch requirement on impacts (now I just hope it sticks)

Technically no, gunfighter says you must shoot something you are engaged with if you charge (so no charging, killing stuff, then shooting) and even if you walk it specifies that the attacks must be made against engaged models. Dual attack just allows both melee and ranged actions to be done in the same activation (so is objectively better)

For those who haven't read it...
I am really excited about these changes. This looks like a ton of fun to play, and gives the Gun Carraige a unique role. I love this idea of making multiple impacts through your enemies lines, and also being able to use impact attacks to get yourself disengaged. But...
I suppose this can still be counterplayed by your opponents running two small based infantry up to the GC on opposites sides and parking base to base with it. Soles said they were going to fix the definition of "contact", so no unlimited impacts. Hmmm... how nice would it be if you could use your guns before your move?
This is the list I'm thinking of using first. I think the sprays might be helpful for getting the GC unjammed. The Marauders and GC provide so much knockdown that the rockets and Mortar Crew are always going to have stuff to shoot at. I think there are hard counters to the list (clouds and incorporeal in particular) but you can't counter everything with the rocket spam list...
