So I was following a discussion on the discord and came up with an idea that entertains me with it's stupidity. I shall now share it with you, for the lols.
Vlad2 in Wolves of Winter with Alexia1 and Valachev. The opponent is expecting to get a face full of super-soldier Doomreavers, or maybe even Outriders. So instead you catch him by surprise: Alexia puts down some Risen in an unexpected location. You then kill Alexia. Vlad2 activates, casts Hand of Fate on the Risen now that Alexia isn't giving them Spellward, and then feats on the new Risen.
Your opponent will never see it coming!

I have no idea what to think about this tactic! Why don't you try it and see what happens? I have at least 2.5 good reasons:
1) Raising a small human is one of my hobbies, so I'm not going out to play games until he's vaccinated too. I don't anticipate being able to roll dice with a person again for at least 3-4 months.
2) I still haven't painted Alexia & The Risen. I only play with painted models!
3) I got severely burned out on Wolves of Winter in the second half of 2019 and the first quarter of 2020. I honestly don't feel like playing that theme any time soon.

But you should paint Alexia, she's such a fun unit.

That sounds like a very bad idea. Feated Risen are actually worse than non-feated Iron Fang Pikemen: MAT 7, RNG 0.5, P+S 10, DEF 13, ARM 14.

But Iron Fang Pikemen don't spontaneously materialise in your opponent's back arc! You can't look at the game purely in terms of raw numbers, you have to consider positioning, flexibility, the element of surprise... But yes, it's bad. That's why it's funny. |

But you should paint Alexia, she's such a fun unit. She’s been perpetually on my list for years now. However, I have discovered that I hardly ever use mercenaries in my armies in MK III. That puts a damper on things. |

Resolutes are a great addition into the list as well; guns go well with Zephyr and they make for chonky feat targets.

It seems super fun to me! I'm not sure I'd toss in so many mercenaries personally, but I think you should run that! It looks great to me!
