PP has resolved the Toro shortage, at least for now. What about other models that don't seem to be in current production? Cryx crab jacks, Cygnar Stormclads, Grymkin Rattlers, Khador Berserkers, and a long list of others that seem to be sold out or in short supply everywhere? Has anyone else noticed this?
As always, this is not a doom and gloom thread, I am asking because Brawlmachine seems fantastic and it makes me want to build and paint a 25-point list for every faction. I just want to know when I can expect to get these models.

Fortunately, the Berserker chassis is a hot pile of poop, so you have nothing to worry about there!
The cause of the shortage of models not made in-house by PP is: well, COVID wrecked the supply chain hard, for reals.

You're probably right re berserkers, but I love the models! I have not yet fielded my 4 berserkers but I'm happy to lose every game I play just to see those beauties on the table. I still want to buy more, I can't help myself.
In the meantime, I do hope that the shortage is only due to COVID, and that it can be fixed soon. I'm eager to hear from anyone who has the inside scoop, especially if there's any good news to report on the horizon.

I heard from one of the other boards that PP is getting the Telsa treatment when it comes to their plastics made in China. PP is requesting the molds back (probably to get the production made elswhere) and the CCP own factories are saying no. Might be wierd if we get IP rip offs of PP at a low low cost from the CCP in a year.

I was going to mention that too, but I forgot.
We’ve been seeing knockoffs / reuses of PP’s molds coming out of China for years. Probably my favorite (as in, “most amusing”, I don’t condone the outright IP theft) were the Blighted Ogrun Warmongers repackaged as green-painted “battle orcs” or something like that.
As I understand it, matters reached a head during COVID.

Secondary market? eBay? I've noticed that Bartertown entries for PP used sales/trades are down to less than a dozen threads, whereas in the (further) past there were many pages of threads. Perhaps it's the Facebook trade/used sale threads seeing the volume?

I think COVID is taking chunks out of the second hand market as well; people are just sitting on their money or armies to see what happens.

Iv seen a huge increase in people trying to shift models during the pandemic, cleaning out space or just moving on. It just that people are not buying. 2nd hand market here in the UK is swimming in stuff. But its all the stuff that the people still playing dont need or want. Who actually needs another Skorne Battle Box, 10 Winterguard, Bane Knights etc? The community in our area has boiled away so much that its just the Uber Competitive/competition people left. And they only want the brand new meta bending OP things.

I propose that 400 point single-theme Unbound be made the default standard game size. That will solve all secondary market supply glut problems!

Perhaps it's the Facebook trade/used sale threads seeing the volume? Right on. You may not see it as much with GW stuff due to the audience size but the audience stil produces the same result. Bartertown and forums are old media so there are higher chances you are going to run into old timers like myself. Other forms of media will attract a younger audience, that goes for trades too.

That is true, just looking at some of the economic news, scarce as it is. Kind of a wierd event, it is like unconsciously the zietgeist is anticipating some sort of coming economic collapse, even though if you went by most of the media, everything is great. Buy buy buy.

It doesn’t start getting fun until 225 points minimum, in my opinion.

I don't think its that so much. Its more people have had lots of time over the past year to 18 months to review things and make a decision on whether of not they intend to continue be involved with their various hobbies and interests in the same way once the pandemic is over. The pandemic has given many people the opportunity to make a clean break with things, if they so choose to. Many people in my friends group are not happy with the game, company and direction of travel and have just decided that they don't require 2 or 3 armies and so are trimming down or selling out altogether. I will be one of them although i just cant be bothered to try and list/sell a load of MK2 Cryx armies so the boxes will just go into the loft or the bin. Post Pandemic will be a great opportunity for many games companies to gain new players and have a big reset. But I expect this will be another opportunity that PP will squander or mishandle.
