Thoughts on progressing Kingmaker's

The Kingmaker's Army is old, and has not really seen a direct update focused on itself.  While it was meant to be a Cygnaran Civil War focus, I think limiting it to this is punishing it for no real reason.

What if the lore behind it is that how it started, but since then, especially with the influx of the Infernals, it has changed to be Magnus' troubleshooting arm that uses more mercenary-style answers to the troubles of Cygnar for purposes of deniability.  This may allow some new units and Characters to be added in simply weren't available at the time.

What are some options you think Magnus might include in his new force?

For example, Rahera might be a option, though, I'm less familiar with her story and her play style to say how good an option.  Caine's Hellslingers could also be another option (again, how GOOD an option is a different story).

Boomhowler's other iterations could be included, though I don't know how much Riot Quest we want to include, but it could represent a situation where he's not with his company.

For units, I want to make a couple interesting suggestions, and I don't know how well they will fly.  From his time with the Four Star group, Magnus would have developed ties to the Kayazy, so being able to employ their Assassins could be good.  He may have also developed Idrian contacts to keep an eye on the Protectorate.

I would also add Sword Knights to the list as they are more of the outcasts of Cygnar due to their low tech means.

Now for a possibly crazy idea.  Remove Steelhead UNITS from the list, but keep the solos.  Allow for Trencher Weapon Crews to be added (more Trenchers would be fun, but do we want this to be Gravediggers mk 2?).  All Cygnar units will be considered as Steelhead Mercenary units.

Now here's where I would really start breaking with a little tradition and start looking at the more unlawful of other factions.  What if it also included Trollkin Highwaymen and Wanderheart?  Brun and Dahlia?  Kogan the Exile?  Gudrun?  Or other more wild outcasts?

Now the last concept.  Archons are a big deal right now, and everyone loves them (sort of).  Should one be included to keep up?  If so, should it be Void, Death, or allow for both, or even allow Primal in to consideration?

What are your thoughts?  Are there any other units or solos which might see some better light with this concept that I might have missed and won't be seeing much light in another Theme?  How crazy should we set this up, and how much Riot Quest should be considered?
