I have been paring my Vlad2 Wolves of Winter list with Vlad3 in Warriors of the Old Faith (I am now running out of Vlads ). I have written up me thought on the list and how I designed it. This can be found by following this link. Despite the corona situation, I have had a few games with this list. More will hopefully come soon. Battle reports will be added as I get round to writing them up. Battle reports: Until next time For the Motherland!

WOTOF has always interested me but I never understood what it actually does so Im very keen to read your first post and follow your journey! What WotOF does (or at least the Vlad 3 version) is throw lots of hard stuff up the board early. It’s a very fast game though a fairly fragile one. Although you can sometimes manage a double dip with Vlads feat usually once the Cavalry are stuck in you’ll quickly lose to attrition so you need to pick your targets well. The addition of Menite units adds a lot for Vlad. A Judicator with effectively 2 Hand of Fates on it is pretty terrifying. Any Khadoran Jack greatly welcomes the Choirs prayers. 2 Menite Archons looks excellent. I’ve found the list also gives Vlad the tools to really become a good assassin (Wracks for that additional focus and the quality Menite shield guards really let you be aggressive from turn 1 with V3).

After the October 2021 Quality of Life update, you have 3 free points in this army now. You can toss in some Wracks as-is, or you could re-wrangle the requisition options and get 3 Wracks as the requisition and add 3 Vassal Mechaniks.
So... something or the other.

Yes, I have been thinking about redoing the list with something. However, I have gotten preoccupied with Sorcha3 and Man-o-Wars outside Armored Korps. So, Vlad is currently resting his horse.

Thanks for the post and an entertaining read. A few thoughts:
- As Michael said, points costs have changed so the list got cheaper. - I wonder whether 2 units of heavy cav are really worth it. Alternatives? Outriders (the best HOF target for infantry hate in the game), or Gun Carraige for your 2nd Jack. - I think we need to consider Yuri (instead of Mr. Stone & Mortar) plus Kossites (instead of Markov) in the list. I haven’t tried it, but want to try it!
I do wonder if a Devout is worth it…but I worry about it (and Dartan) keeping up with Vlad.

I think Yuri2 and Vilmon are all but autoincludes; they are both powerhouse solos.
