What's a decent paint scheme for the pigs? I've looked around a bit but I can't find so many specifics.

Haha, sadly the one aspect of the pigs I'm not an expert on. I've generally just gone with many shades of brown. There were some interesting schemes presented in one of the No Quarter Primes, the first one I think, including sunburnt pink Farrow with bleached fur and green Farrow from having moss and lichen growing in their fair that live near the swamps.

lol, "many shades of brown" is exactly the state of affairs I'm trying to avoid. I was thinking trying to go either a bacony flesh tone or a pale flesh tone with gray hair. I'll try and hunt down that no Quarter though. Sunburnt pink might work.

There was a person on the old PP boards named Sauklaue with an incredible set of necrotic-flesh-toned war hogs (cephalyx-monstrosity style). Really bright, interesting color schemes. It's archived and pretty easily found with a google search.
For my part, if I could go back and re-paint, all my pigs' mohawks would be punkishly neon to break up the shades of brown.

I found both that thread and his general paint tread and he's very good. Like his legion of everblight the best, if I had any interest in legion that'd be what'd make me want to buy them. I didn't find any blog or guide of his where he went trough his process unfortunately, but at least I got some reference images.

If you could share a link, we might be able to decode the formula, or at least make some educated guesses.

That's fine I don't think I'll go for that one. I did find a couple of other nice ones but probably I'll just end up making my own like usual.

Does January qualify as a thread-necro in a board with this little traffic? I'm curious because I face this same problem with Farrow.
I'm considering a much deeper brown than they normally get for skin, with mostly white cloth. I imagine that's a rare pattern for the piggies.

January from last year might be a bit necrotic, but I don't think there's anything wrong with a bit of necromancy if it's for a good cause. Do you have any pictures that would represent the kind of colour scheme you have in mind? It's always an option to do some rough photoshopping over a photo of the models in question to see how your colours might look.

I don't think you have to worry about necro-ing anything on here. We'll let it slide!

I remember seeing somewhere out there a scheme that went with blacks and very very dark greys for a vietnamese pot-belly pig look for the piggos but I couldn't tell you where I saw it...

Alternately you can host somewhere else and embed the image URL; in the full text editor on the desktop version of the website, you'll see some tools for embedding urls and images and videos and stuff above the text entry area. Alternately manually type out the image tag in the like so and when the post is published it will insert the image:

This is funny; the attachment feature for posts insists that my images are too big to upload, but I was able to upload the same file (with the same max size restrictions) to use as my avatar.

I don't think that's because the file itself is too big, I think it's because the Lormahordes freeforum account has used up it's allocation. Not sure really. Personally I post all my images on my Blogger account and then just link to them here using the img tag I posted previously.
