I am very excited for Warcaster, but I lack any social group with whom I can routinely share my enthusiasm. (Everybody I know locally, I mostly only ever conversed with at the game shop. Also, I haaaate Facebook and I use it as little as possible, and when I do use it, I never venture outside of the local game shop groups. I’m not wading willingly into online cesspits.)
Also, I find it annoying that humans have mostly given up on actual voice conversation, to the point where I feel weird just calling up people to say hi. Stupid society being stupid programmed by stupid technology.
Anyway... Still haven’t painted a single Warcaster model, but I am looking forward to playing the game!

I can’t for the life of me decide on a Marchers scheme. Found a cool head swap for the Infantry, but I just can’t arrive at something that feels good on the jacks and Infantry alike

I printed some helmets from Infinity. I also had issues deciding on a colour scheme. One issue for me was that the models have a lot of random bobbins all over. I ended up cheating slightly and going for a very cheap and lazy mostly monochromatic scheme.

Went with these guys: puppetswar.eu/cyber-gunslinger-heads.htmlThree human factions at launch really bummed me out, so I decided these guys were the Mechanical Coalition. I might end up doing the same. It was the big chunky engineer that got me into Marchers over ISA though, and he’s got all kinds of bits and bobs. In theory I want to paint it, but in practice I’m just uninspired. The game is loads of fun, but these models just don’t grab me. It’s popular in our local group though, so I had to pick something as opposed to waiting for a fun faction to drop

Oh,I hadn't seen those heads before; they are a fantastic choice! I imagine they go really well with all the cloaks and stuff on the infantry and solos! Probably not as well with the weaver though? That guy's robes and stuff are a little more wizard/priest-y.
I find the models are fine, but like you say, they don't really inspire me. Luckily you don't need many of them; I'd rather paint the ten or so infantry models that I am indifferent to and have pretty much a full Marcher Worlds army, than an gaggle of fifty plus space marines in the same colour scheme for a 40K list - I mean, I like painting Space Marines well enough, but not if it's the same colour scheme over and over. But that's just me, I know some people don't have a problem with that sort of thing.

I had exactly the opposite problem, heh. I love the Marchers’ rules but I could totally put a sweet paint job on ISA models in like eight minutes.

I do think the ISA has some nice design elements.

To get some of the home group peeps you got to Facebook/Minds, Twitter/Parler, this forum PP forum Dakka Dakka just to broadcast out. 90's -2000's tech was the best time for technology.

It is very sad that everything goes over these new media. Dischord Facebook and whatnot are not good to get any long lasting conversation. It's just a chat,no info is permanent. No new member can search and read what has happened before. Aren't we getting old?... On the positive site: I painted some Marchers and ISA and love both! Sadly it's hard to upload to this forum, but if someone can recommend a good external site for this I will share my pictures And for playing, I have evything needed for Riot quest, warmachine and warcaster at home. Just corona is screwing around and making appointments already was a bit difficult before. So I keep testing the lists against myself. This actually works much better than expected... And getting some muscle memory is pretty fun non the less.

It seems this has worked great many thanks!
So these are my ISA and Marchers! I went close to the original scheme, but changed small bits here and there

Both your factions look good! Man, that black and yellow ISA scheme suddenly reminded me of Haze.
Which funnily enough is my Playstation avatar.
