OK, so I just finished painting Maximus, and I realized that I painted the skulls in his sword red like typical Doom Reavers yet his gallery picture has them as green. WTF? I checked the gallery pictures for Doom Reavers (red) and Fenris (green) only to find myself corn-fused. So, what should they be?

If you can find some glow in the dark paint, like that luminescent light green tint, that with a black ink wash to pick the detail back out would probably be pretty badass.

I feel like green is the "correct" colour, but so far I've used ghostly blue. I think the decision should be based on what colour you think works best with the reast of your colour scheme.

I went blue and haven't regretted it for a second.
Strongly considering flesh tones for the next unit's blades, but not sure it'll look as creepy on the models as it does in my head

A fleshy pink, maybe add some veins (especially around the edges), and don't go too dark on the shading between the faces so it all looks like one sheet of skin? That sounds so creepy that it kind of scares me.

Using different glow colors for the blades seems like an excellent way to differentiate between units.

I color code the blades by squad personally.

I color code the blades by squad personally. The Sorting Blade approach, eh? "Grasp the cursed blade in your right hand, if it glows red, you will join House Gryfindor red squad!"

Little known fact: there's a small switch in the pommel of each Fellblade that controls the colour of the L.E.D.S. (Light Emitting Doomed Souls).
