Awesome to see official recognition of this format I also like how they gave kudos to what is basically a community-created format. Now if more of the community would get behind such concepts instead of waiting to be hand fed everything from PP.

Dude I saw you at the game store once in 6 years because you don't like traffic lights while the community fell apart and you wanna rag on people for not doing anything?

Is this a non-trolling comment? In any way wasn't steamroller also originally community driven? I think it is very valid for people to do this and it very honorable for the company to acknowledge this officially. They have their hands full with the rules and new models and that's okay.

Yes it was. This dude never shows up to play. he just sits on message boards all day for war machine and 40K. The Phoenix community is a shambles. He did absolutely nothing to keep the game going and he wants to rag on the player base. Calling him out for that shit. What's he going to do? Not show up?

I also like how they gave kudos to what is basically a community-created format. Now if more of the community would get behind such concepts instead of waiting to be hand fed everything from PP. Dude I saw you at the game store once in 6 years because you don't like traffic lights while the community fell apart and you wanna rag on people for not doing anything? I was on the east side up to 3 1/2 years ago. Imperial Outpost was a pain to get to before, it is a pain to get to now. It's even more of a pain if your car is threatening to explode because the people at the light are taking their sweet time to get going. Tabletop is a bit easier to get to, but now we're down to one vehicle.
What nights I did make it to IO, I got 4 games. One was for the JML, which faltered, and then some blokes were nice enough to rework what they brought to fit what I was comfortable doing (AND were faster, allowing for quicker discussion of mistakes). I mention how grateful I am for each of those games when I bring up this topic.
Before that it was Games U, but a lot of that is coordination of schedules (I have a wife and kids I value a bit more) and lack of money to develop my collection (which is still a problem). I've still visited on occasion, especially on Merc Market days, and those that showed an interest in playing were totally hooked on Steamroller as an absolute focus. Before Games U opened, I had lost my job, and a lot of nights at Games U I was on UberEats driving to help make ends meet. Hard to get a game on when you're on call.
So when I talk about the community willing to kick it up, I'm talking about it from someone who is NOT in a position to be leading a build up at present because I have so little experience in the game. That may change if I can get our second car working and make it to Tabletop regularly. I have a few Battleboxes I got on the cheap over time, so it's a place to start, but Tabletop doesn't have Privateer Press product. On the other hand, I have the face for radio and the charisma of the average IT nerd, which is why I don't work sales. I don't know if that is the best type of person to be leading off on that.
But hey, if you want to make assumptions about my life based on your availability and capabilities, that's your choice.
Also consider one more thing: Most of those responses were based on others declaring a need for PP to do everything, while not recognizing that they already had, nor seeming to have any willingness to make alterations themselves. While I recognize the need for a community to do some things, I can't do anything if a community won't budge from a single focus.

I have run into people like this before zhoe. Some people are just into armchair misery. Glad you called him out doe. Puts alot of other posts into perspective.

The last thing I ever imagined seeing on this board was zhoe typing like one of us regular people. Shame this forum is really mostly dead, it was fun while it lasted.

Did you know that the Line of Sight discord is home to one of the largest populations of new and learning Warmachine and Hordes players in the world? We have a special channel set up there where people who are new to the game can get direct access to more experience players who are handpicked for their experience as mentors. We added five new mentors today to accommodate the influx of new players, and we'd love to have that need again soon! If you are a new player, come join us! When you introduce yourself to get posting rights, ask to be added to the mentoring channel and a moderator will get you sorted. If you know a new player, don't hesitate to send them our way! You can find our discord here: discord.gg/gWYFqeD

Hi, quick noob question, can i use more than one troll whelp in brawl format? No, you cannot as they are bought separately, so must adhere to the FA:1.
