Has anyone played Zone Raiders? I've been reading the rulebook and I REALLY like the setting, plus the rules seem pretty decent - base rules are fairly simple, but they do give you reasons to move your models around to try to flank or team up on enemy models, and I think there's a lot of depth that comes from the gear and scenario rules. The fact that it's fairly model-agnostic (a lot of Infinity and 40k models would fit right in, and I reckon even a lot of Warmachine models wouldn't look too out of place) makes it sound quite easy to get into, though you might need more scalable terrain than you're used to. However the whole system seems to be geared around campaign play, which I've never tried before. It just feels strange to me to think that if you lose a few games your opponent will acquire more resources than you and arguably gain an advantage that could potentially just keep getting larger as the campaign progresses. It just sounds like it could end up not being very much fun. I'm thinking of trying to figure out some kind of cooperative campaign (which the system does support), though I do wonder if just playing against the "A.I." will get boring before long. Anyway, has anyone tried it or considered trying it?
