vhey all, I doubt it's actually ever going to happen, but I like to imagine what kind of beast PP would come up with if they gave gators a new heavy. Personally the thing I want to see the most right now is a character wrastler, but something else I could see them doing without spending a lot of time and money is a third variant on the wrastler chassis. I like the idea of a gharial variant - something that'd function like a mixture of Barathrum and Snapjaw, where he can give himself stealth/dig in, or some other similar defensive mechanic - although obviously not submerge, that'd be way too strong - and can sprint/move back and activate its defensive tech after killing another model, or even have the ability to move back and drag the victim B2B after hitting it with its bite attack. what do all of you think?

Give him chain attack: G&S on his claws and reversal to represent his martial arts ability. If you want to be really nasty, give him something akin to coil from the neraph on his bite, so he can guarantee a Chain Attack if he hits with the bite.

I think the MkII Wrastler would actually be a pretty neat inspiration point for your concept. I'm thinking a budget heavy, about 12 points, MAT 6 and three P+S 14 initials. Give it the old * Attack "Death Roll" where if the attack hits, both the Gator and its target are knocked down. If you add on Feign Death you have something kinda like what you were describing.
If it's FURY 3 you can Force to stand up, Charge, and boost to hit. Alternately, you could give it Rage and have it Charge something and hit it with five P+S 17 attacks.

Animus idea could be scuttler but not lesser beast locked. Just one fury to dig in a model within 6” .

wanted to take it a bit futher, so I thought - what would it look like if a Gharial chassis actually existed? I think the name Darkscale fits pretty well, even if it's just a different way of saying Blackhide. Darkscale Hunter, Stalker, and Seer? I doodled a third variant that essentially looked like the old Gatorman Posse leader, feather headdress, feather staff and all - or, Brennos as a crocodilian - but I ran out of steam and didn't bother to finish it.
