Hey all, I'm planning to slowly expand my collection over the next year with various minis from manufacturers other than PP, and scale is something that's always on my mind. I bought a box of malifaux crocodiles a long time ago and was disappointed when I discovered how tiny they are, and I'd rather not go relive that. I figured I might as well post a new thread and keep it around as a quick reference rather than letting it drown in my mini thread. I'm tempted to buy Reaper's new bones black ed cave bear mini, for bear encounters and possibly as a proxy for the NK battle bears. Would they look reasonable on a 50mm base? Besides that, what scale is kings of war? The northern clansmen and lord look like they could fit the bill for the other tribe beside the kossites (forgot their name ) .

Kings of War was designed to be used with GW's Warhammer Fantasy, but I haven't seen them side by side with WMH models of equivalent size.
Most of the Reaper minis I have seen tend to be on the smaller side when compared to WMH models. The dragons look amazing, but are about halfway between the Carnivean and Archangel. I haven't seen the bear, though, so, sorry.

Many photos in the Reaper catalog have a hidden scaling element in them. If you see two little triangles off to the side, those are at .5" and 1". If there's a little B or M in the photo, that is .25" square.

it looks a bit on the small side in these pics, about the size of a steelhead artillery piece? I primarily want them as discount battle bears, but that's not the only reason. I think it should be fine? They'd probably look better on a medium base than on a large base.
