For the record: packing a single bag for both Monsterpocalypse and Warmachine is a total pain in the butt. : p
So, I've got exactly enough room for four warjacks (two Juggernaut chassis multi-kits and two Grolar multi-kits) unless I drop the Outriders. But honestly, I want to take the Outriders, so they stay!
Anyway, I have enough room left for three mercenary solos. One is going to be Ragman. I want to take Ragman because I finally finished painting him like last year but I don't think I've ever used him.
So: which two other small-based mercenary solos should I take?

Which casters made it in? For solos... I suppose Alexia 2 doesn’t count! Sylys? Saxon? One more caster? Leave room to buy S0?

Right now, it looks like I’ll be taking Sorscha1, Strakhov1, Old Witch 1, and Malakov2. I finished Malakov2 about a year ago (he got improved enough in the MoW CID that he got painted instead of proxied ) but I have probably only used him twice since then. I haven’t played Strakov in a very long time, so he’s in. Sorscha1 made the cut because, eh, why not? Old Witch 1 got included because there was enough room for a Scrapjack-sized slot in one of my trays, and I absolutely despise OW1 so far in this edition, so I guess that means I should play her during my vacation?

Hmm...OW 1 does absolutely nothing for Wolves, and it’s not like the Reavers needed help with more single wound troop denial.
I’d rather see you have more fun. Dump the old biddy and put in Zerkova 1 and Suprememe Kommander Irusk. They love madmen. Irusk can take Scrapjack’s slot in the tank. You can squeeze in Saxon and have room for one more merc.

I hate Zerkova1 so much. Maybe it’s a carryover from both MK I (where she was a completely random mismatch of abilities) and MK II. Maybe it’s because her original sculpt looks dumb, and her resculpt was somehow equally as dumb. Maybe it’s because she has exactly zero left in the tank after she feats, and (to me) she feels like an anchor around the army’s neck once feat turn is over. Irusk2 didn’t make the cut because I literally don’t have a place in the foam for him. That flag is too tall.

Also, my aforementioned (maybe in that other thread) friendly local Circle player swears up and down that OW1 and Wolves is the super-secret anti-Circle tech that is impossible to beat, and I feel like screwing around to see how wrong he is. But also I don’t think I’ve used her since maybe 2016 because seriously, OW1 is balls this edition.

Yeah OW1 with wolves seems like a bad match up for Tharn.

Yeah OW1 with wolves seems like a bad match up for Tharn. Considering he’s the only local I have seen with Tharn, I am firmly in the “meh” camp about them.

Packing both Wolves of Winter and Monsterpocalypse into the same carryon-sized bag was a stupid plan. Why did I think this would be a smart plan? I have too much stuff to do between now and then to make this work. Gah!

I have too much stuff to do between now and then to make this work. Gah! Is it too late to change this plan? Eh... I really want to take both. Also I just dropped like $100 on custom Battlefoam trays to make everything fit...mostly. My warjack selection is limited to four multi-kits. I decided that two of them will be Grolar/Kodiak kits, which means I have to now paint two Grolar/Kodiak kits. That’s a dumb load to add. Eh...we’ll see how it goes, I suppose. I might just be frustrated by having my butt completely kicked in two games of MonPoc today, partly due to lousy dice on my side and hot dice on my opponent’s side (grumble), and partly due to a tactic that I honestly have no idea how to combat. It is kind of frustrating. I’m not bad at this game, but gee-dee, I play with some smart, cutthroat SOB’s...

What's the tactic?

I’ll post a thing in the MonPoc forum later. I suspect it is one part my inexperience (I keep playing the same four or five approximately equally skilled players, because the really good ones only seem to show up for tournaments, which I run), part a very strong tactic, and part the fact that I still haven’t finished painting a second monster and I’m proxying...

Long known fact that dice roll worse for unpainted models.

I should take some pictures of the Zor-Raiden I just painted for a local... Heh.
