Howdy folks, I've been toying with Haley1 as a fun list for my less serious games.
I'm trying to decide what the best way to play her is. I feel like she can work in pretty much every theme, but maybe is outshone in Heavy Metal by Sloan since our guns are the stronger aspects of many of our jacks. With temporal barrier for a defence swing or chain lightning for electroleap fun I've been leaning towards Gravediggers and Storm Division. My one issue is that she's very very squishy and that can be quite scary.
Gravediggers has the advantage of possibly feating on Trencher Long Gunners for three glorious big shots, a host of solos to score flags and a good choice of Trenchers to contest your opponents stuff. This makes for a pretty solid base to flavour the battlegroup, maybe two heavies, maybe three grenadiers just overall very flexible stuff. But even with the Patrol Dog, stealth worries me a lot with such a gun focused list. Which led me to...
Stormdivision, the concentration of hard hitting Cavalry with strong gun support from a Stormstrider and a heavy gun battlegroup made this rather enjoyable to play. Coupling in the double Arcane Shield from a Journeyman (running a firefly for Ionisation of course) made a rather enjoyable list. I'm just debating which solos I really need, and which could be swapped around. Do I need the Stormbalde Captain with so few models, would Stormcallers be better? Do I really need Thorn, just for arcing Chain Lightnings on the turns I don't cast Temporal Barrier? I almost certainly need Rhupert for the Pathfinder, but I'm not sure on the rest. What do you guys think?
I was wondering if you folks have any lists that you would like to share that have been semi successful. I haven't explored Sons of the Tempest with her yet, but I've heard good things about it, so wouldn't mind seeing some lists based on that.
