B3 is old tried and true swiss knife that solves everything. It's boring at this point.
S1 wolves is new hotness. Sure, you can't freeze or directly debuff big dudes, but Ragman exists. And you don't need to freeze small dudes with a spell, just time walking their army with your feat is big enough advantage. Also baseline doomies outthreat them and plow through their low def easily.

Just an FYI - since they surely have the Large base immortal they have the same threat as baseline doomies and since they are surely to have the innovate they likely have tough. Now that is all support and as above, that could be a good reason to have conquest/victor with S1. That raises the interesting question - which of the 2?

I think victor would be better here, his main gun is better to snipe the immortals solo that speed up and support the rest of the list. The crit on the conquest's gun is also pretty much irreleveant into exalted because of immovable object. Having Sorscha1 in your pairing also probably means the other guy will just drop his other list instead of risking playing an infantry list into Sorscha1.

Perhaps, but what if he's running double Exalted/DH? Or they're running Menoth EI and FM? Or Khador AC and WoW, or Legion double PT? There's loads of double infantry pairings right now. The Siege Mortar only has a 25% chance to actually kill an Ancestral Guardian even with a boosted shot. They're tough cookies. But they're also medium based tough cookies, so I imagine they're not too hard to draw LoS to.

This is going to sound silly, but I usually have OW1 or Butcher 2, so I end up just eating a ton of immortals for souls or rage tokens

Oh I'm not dismissing Sorscha1, I think she has her place in the meta and will be trying her out as soon as the OTC is over. I just prefer the victor over the conquest against exalted in particular, the conquest crit doesn't do much against exalted when compared to the utility of the siege mortar, and his secondary guns have trouble breaking armor against immortals. Not saying the victor is always better, just that against the exalted theme force I think he is.

However, I have to point out that the Supreme Guardian has Direct Spirits so you can never gain the Immortals' souls if you're within 10" of it.

Ah, yes. I don't think I've dealt with those yet. Well, that makes it easy!
However, if you don't want to run Butcher 2, Sorscha 1 or 2, or Butcher 3 seem to work nicely
