I noticed for pure luck this thing on Kickstarter while looking at other things.
I think some others may have been missing it, since it wasn't advertized that much:
For anyone loving Iron Kingodms art this is the kickstarter for you, and includes a new miniature playable in Warmahordes.

Nice use of the widget share to get to the stretch goal I'll probably back this to the level where I get the model, because it's cool. Having access to some high res art, especially in a digital format will be nice, which is why this interests me, but the gap with the final level is just ridiculous (not to mention only available in the NA main land).

I just saw this today. I kind of want it, but the shipping is a little high; I'm not really happy paying $60+ usd for a single book.
Actually shipping is hurting me in general these days. It used to be easier to buy things in bulk and get cheaper or even free international shipping, but a lot of hobby stuff that catches my attention these days is sold piecemeal; kickstarters and minicrates etc. And of course shipping prices have risen in general.
Sigh. I might cave in at some point, but right now I'm going to have to pass on this one.

I'm in. It's a pity they didn't put more moniatures as add-ons and/or stretch goals.

Huh, I thought Kickstarters were more for new ideas or up-and-coming companies, not the big boys.
Still, the art is quite lovely in places. That Iron Maiden model is absolute pants compared to the Monsternomicon entry, though.

Like they said, the original art is close to impossible to make in model form. I still think it looks decent.

But I feel they could have done better than 'give a generic robot hair and high heels'

Huh, I thought Kickstarters were more for new ideas or up-and-coming companies, not the big boys. Welcome to a year after the first successful Kickstarter. It's been going on for so long I don't even quirk and eye at it any more.

Hopefully the success of this project inspires PP to produce books for their other products that may be seen as too risky to try through regular distribution.
