Conquest likes the idea of 5 continuous fire AoEs every turn, that's for sure!
Cheers, Dave

Yeah, Fuel Cache pretty much makes Victor a very sad panda.
Conquest however.....
More like Protectorate of Khador.

Well, Fuel Cache got nerfed. Now it just gives a model Continuous Fire. Looks like Stockpile is the new default. "Just." I will be pretty surprised to see that survive CID. But if it does... Hello MK2 Ravagore come to papa. If this survives I'll have to buy Herne & Jonne.

So storm wall covering fire setting enemy on fire ? Caine 1 ulti look promising Covering fire (Or Sustained Fire in the case of Stormwall) would not gain the continuous fire benefit. The Cont Fire weapon quality requires the attack to hit. So it works on AoEs but covering fire is neither and attack nor does it hit.

I'm excited about the layout of some of the scenarios. It looks like they might create a variety of interesting interactions, drawing infantry to some zones, jacks to others. I haven't had the opportunity to get a game in with the new scenarios yet (later today), but I am looking forward to figuring out how they each shape the combat differently, or if they do. Getting a 6 point CP advantage on your opponent may be hard, but it looks like you can get lots of points in one turn (3, maybe 4, in some scenarios).

Getting a 6 point CP advantage on your opponent may be hard It is supposed to be hard, a win by that rule is expected to be an extreme and rare scenario. Most games should be ending in 7th turn with a normal win of more CPs than opponent.

We played 6 or 7 games last night as a group, none went to time. Not definitive, sure, but ending at 7 seems unlikely enough to not be the strategy you bank on but possible enough to have it as a fallback.

I guess it depends on the group, for example where I play few people go for assassinations in mk3. I practically never do it, prefer playing it safe with no risky moves and overextending.

Getting 6 points up tends to not to happen unless one side has a big edge on attrition anyway, but that is a feature, not a bug.

You might find that you have more dynamic games then since they will have more incentive to move around and contest more robustly.
