So enjoy running strange lists. I enjoy taking net lists and throwing them out a window. As well i love playing Ashlynn for fluff and playstyle. So to these points i made this list half asleep.
Ashlynn d'Elyse in "Llaelese Resistance" -Madelyn Corbeau, Ordic Courtesan -Nomad -Nomad -Mariner -Mariner
Chior of Menoth (min) Flameguard Cleansers (max) -Flameguard Cleanser Officer Thorn Gun Mages Thorn Gun Mages
Major Harrison Gibbs Ragman Rhupert Carvolo, Piper of Ord Eilish Garrity, the Occultist
Ive not able to remember much of why i saved the list outside of being a fast anti infantry list.
Quicken and Rhupert for Flameguard for def 15 vs ranged attacks and feated sprays.

I personally can't run an ashlynn fun list without two Mules. Critical devastation is one of the most fun and silly things in this game. If you haven't done it yet, try it out. Maybe swap the Mariners and eilish out for them and di Bray

Eilish is all-around great. Unbinding is also invaluable to get rid of arm buffs so those ps16 maces are less sad. There are also some upkeeps like bracer which would prevent the crit devastate entirely.
Would love to try double cleansers with Ash some day, 20 spray 10's with rat 6 and a huge accuracy buff from feat should wreck most infantry lists...
[Ashlynn 1] Ashlynn d'Elyse [+29] - Freebooter [9] - Nomad [11] - Nomad [11] - Toro [13] Eilish Garrity, the Occultist [0(5)] Major Harrison Gibbs [0(4)] Ragman [0(4)] Gorman di Wulfe, Rogue Alchemist[4] Flameguard Cleansers (max) [15] - Flameguard Cleanser Officer [4] Flameguard Cleansers (max) [15] - Flameguard Cleanser Officer [4] Thorn Gun Mages [9] Thorn Gun Mages [9]

First post on this forum btw. Hi all! Hello! Welcome to the forum! Thank you! I am an avid player of the IKRPG and had a mind to look into Warmahordes and I gotta say, it got me hooked! So I lurked the forums for quite some months now and I think I'm ready to take the leap now. I hope to have a grand old time with you guys!

I haven't decided yet, since I lack the expendable income necessary to afford a sufficient quantity or models to build an army. It's probably either gonna be mercs or Khador though.

Oh and sorry to onijet01 for hijacking your threat a bit.
I do agree though that you should try Mules with her if you're trying to be silly. Crit dev under feat with puppy master sounds hilarious! Give one of them to Crosse1 for extra range.
Bonus points if you do all that in Irregulars with Wrong Eye for starcrossed, just rub it in with the dropped die on feat turn.

It's probably either gonna be mercs or Khador though. Cool! I approve of your choices! Personally I consider myself primarily a "Mercdor" player (Khador battlegroup, Merc infantry). Basically I bought the models that I thought looked cool, which was Khador jacks and Merc character infantry and solos. No, I don't win very much, why do you ask? The Lormahordes forums are great for discussing competitive lists and whining about CID. Sadly they don't seem to me to have as much talk about painting and hobby-ing, fluff and casual play as the old PP forums did back when they had faction-specific sub-forums (which got shut down in the "Great PP Purge"). I've heard that there's places on facebook for that cater more to that sort of thing, but as I don't read that book I couldn't say for sure. As far as getting into the game goes, don't feel pressured to build up your army immediately. Pick up an introductory battlegroup box and just play some 0-point games. Build up from there when you're ready (maybe add 15 or 25 points at a time), playing a bunch of games at each points level. Don't rush, that will just prevent you from enjoying the game. I mean, you could join a journeyman league if one starts near you, if you feel comfortable with the pace they go at. Also don't feel that 75 points is the only way to play the game; locally we've been playing exclusively at 50 points for a while because it speeds games up a bit. The Khador box has Kozlov, a Juggernaut and a Decimator; it's fine to glue the Juggernaut together, but you might want to magnetise the Decimator as you won't use it nearly as often as the Juggernaut. I don't think Mercs has a battlegroup starter box, but I think there's some "official" battlegroup options if you want to play a journeyman league (obviously you'll need to buy the models individually, which will be more expensive and won't come with the other bits from the starter boxes). I think there's some official allowed alternatives for all the factions actually; I briefly played Strakhov in a MkII journeyman league a few years back.

I haven't decided yet, since I lack the expendable income necessary to afford a sufficient quantity or models to build an army. It's probably either gonna be mercs or Khador though. Not to discourage you from mercs, they're fun and all, but also consider when making your decision that they are by far the largest faction model range wise. We can take CG infantry, Protectorate infantry, Cygnar Infantry, the partisans, pirates, dwarves, Cryx solos, Cephalyx, and more (all within their respective themes). Now not all of it is considered "good" at the moment, but that being said CIDs tend to focus on one of our many sub factions, and since it rotates I would expect that as the CIDs happen the more competitive options will jump from sub-faction to sub-faction and so if you really planning to play competitive mercs you should probably own a decent chunk of the model line. Now it's not AS easy now o days to do this, but an idea might be to actually start Khador and slowly build up a merc collection. Heck Kayazy assassins and Kayazy Eliminators are both partisan models and can find a home in both (though from what I've seen they actually do more in Khador currently (minus eliminators which are just AWESOME in both)).

I think my first non battlebox purchases will be Ragman, Aiyana & Holt and Kayazy Girls (the latter not just because they are good, but also because my first IKRPG character is an ex-kayazy ) since they can be fielded pretty much everywhere.
