I thought about it with Irusk2 for a bit. We all know he likes Kayazy models.
Only tried it once. So far as I remember, the major problem I had was interference with the theme bonus. I wanted to deploy the Kayazy to let my MoW units maximise the advance moves. But that meant the Kayazy ended up behind/off to the sides of the MoW. And then the Kayazy were kind of stuck behind the MoW on Turn 1, or got in the way when working out where I wanted MoW to go.
Deploy the Kayazy in columns to maximize both their deployment as the MoW's. : o : o : o :
Like that.
I get the idea, and it's a good one - but the problem goes further. MoW unit with Advance Move + Run = 12" up the board end of Turn 1 (or 14" with a Kovnik). Kayazy with no advance move and run = 12" up the board Turn 1. When you add in base sizes and terrain to the mix, I found they were still getting in each others' way during Turn 1.
Sometimes that might not be a problem, but I was against going second against Cygnar and didn't want to give some nice handy MoW targeting beacons for electroleaps onto Kayazy.

Yeah that is a valid point, I forgot MoW outpaced them on turn 1.
