Thanks to everyone who helped me put my Gen Con masters lists together, Now it’s time to come window shop the Narrative Event!
[/i]I’m playing in the Sunday Narrative Event at GenCon with a couple other guys in my gaming club (one will likely run Minions, and the other Grymkin or Cryx).
So come window shop my 50 point lists. Take chip shots in from the side. Pull up a chair and stay for a while, and tell me what you[d drop if you were playing in this event.
In terms of casters, I want to bring one who meets the following criteria:
- Survivable (I’d prefer not to die to an early assassination)
- Helps makes smaller point costs list unbalance because of how they contribute to the fight (either personally, or via spells/abilities)
- Someone I’m already comfortable playing
I think I’ve narrowed down my field to:
Karchev (Jaws)
Butcher 3 (Winterguard)
Vlad 1 (Armored Korp)
I’m also toying with Sorscha 1 and 3, and Vlad 2, but I think I’m most excited by the above 3. My list ideas.
Karchev
So Karchev is simply a bully in smaller games. I also miss playing him since I put him down when Jaws got nerfed. I want a survivable caster and a survivable army, and this seems to be the epitome of both. My smart money says that Sorscha 0 will be available at the con which opens up 13” threat ranges on Karchev’s jacks, and on his own good self.

What I like about this? Fun as hell! 13” threats. 7 ARM 20 jacks although I could see dropping a Marauder to a Berserker to fit in mechanics. Gaspy 3 brought a bunch of Slayers? Bring it!
Next up, Butcher 3
Kommander Zoktavir, the Butcher Unleashed - WJ: +22
- War Argus
- Ruin - PC: 17 (Battlegroup Points Used: 17)
- Kodiak - PC: 13 (Battlegroup Points Used: 5)

A butcher delivery system with sprays for days, and 12” jack threats, and Butcher who can bring it from downtown if you leave a charge target nearby.
And finally, Vlad 1 Bombers. The idea behind this one is to just pound the crap out of everyone from downtown.
Vladimir Tzepesci, The Dark Prince - WJ: +28
