So I love Warroom, but battery life of whatever electronic device is always an issue.
my question is do you use the cards? And if you do, how ? do you print them off ...take them to a print shop, or can you order them from PP?

I used to keep my cards in small, clear bags separated by list, but much like my desire to play 40k after a few Warmachine games, since I switched to an app, it’s hard to return to cards. I recommend getting a giga stone or similar portable battery for the cost of one jack kit.

When playing I still like cards because marking damage on Warroom remains a bit "clunky".

Use this to turn the card PDFs into reference sheets. Put them in clear sheet protector pages and you can mark damage on them easily. conflictchamber.com/pdf.html

I like to have an overview, so I use the cards during game. Im also blessed with the ability to count to 75+bgp, so listbuilding on the back of an envelop is fine. Plus I like the physical aspect of the cards. Haven't felt the need to use warroom now that the carddatabase is here.

War room always. It's easier to read for me, always up to date, and I can quickly look at my opponents cards. You can add cards to an ongoing match; I started adding the enemy warcaster just to have his spells and stats handy.

Personally I use war room, but I also have 2 External battery banks for my phone because my push me does wayyy too much sooooo I would recommend having both of you can. I’m working on printing and laminating my cards

I use cards for my own army. Fast and no low-battery-issue.
I use warroom on my tablet under the game to check oposite models. At the start of the game i put the enemy army into warroom.

I usually use cards, that I print on regular paper and put in a sleeve with the old physical card so it's sturdier. I find them easier to quickly mark and remove damage on, especially when you play with things like Sanguine Bond or lots of healing.
The app is pretty good though and I do use it when I'm too lazy to get my cards, but low tech solutions are often still more reliable.

Warroom, all the way.
It's such a good app, and when both you and your opponent are using it then it becomes effortless to check the other guy's card without interrupting anything.

It's a gold plated app or should be for what it costs... Really? The app costs nada, and if you buy the entire card deck (which is what I've done) that's about the same as buying most rulebooks. I complain about a lot of what PP puts out with respect to value-for-money (OK, only miniatures really), but Warroom is not on that list.

Triple A games don't cost that.

I use cards. Warroom is nice for listbuilding, but I've only once ever successfully gotten a "go to battle" game to run, and then after the game I found I could no longer look at the opponent's list. What a pain.
I also worry about battery life, plus every time I go to take a photo of the game with my phone, I have to restart warroom, which takes 2-3 minutes. I guess it takes too much memory to remain resident while I do anything else.

Triple A games don't cost that. None of the above, of course. I compare it to buying a rule book plus a whack of army books (basically my old days from Warhammer Fantasy), and it comes out at pretty much the same, plus all the convenience of the app versus physical cards. I'm surprised folks are still struggling with the functionality of Warroom. I had those issues when the app first released in version I, but after some initial hiccoughs with V2 my area has found it to be clean sailing for at least the last 18 months. If it's been a while since you tried to play a game on the app, I recommend giving it another shot - I find it a please to use, and I really struggle to go back to physical cards.
