So I finally got my hands on some Tanker kits. I'm the sort of person who isn't keen on paying ~$200 to get 4 of them.
The kits are identical besides the shields, which are annoyingly one piece. However this is fairly easy to deal with, if you get two Strike kits it's easy enough to make some guns that slot over the spikes. I will almost certainly design a part that can be 3d printed which fits over them and share it on thingverse or something.
The real problem is the shoulder gun. It has very small contact points and a round pipe as part of the contact surface. Has anyone come up with an ingenious method to make it removable?
Note: My advice at this point is buying 2 Strike packs and converting.

Yes, it could definitely be attached to the shoulder instead. That's probably the best solution!

I'm still going to post about how to convert them, it's actually pretty easy to turn a Strike tanker into a Suppression tanker dual kit.
It's simply a matter of moving the gun onto the shoulder pad with some putty and a magnet. Then you can either use more putty or 3d print a piece that slots onto the shields (there are a number of web based printing places you can submit an .obj file to if you don't have your own printer and they are pretty cheap for small parts).

I was kinda thinking about putting a minigun on each shoulder for the supression tanker and leaving the shields the same.

I was kinda thinking about putting a minigun on each shoulder for the supression tanker and leaving the shields the same. Ooooh... That has a lot of merit. You could also attach the guns to the sides of the shields pretty easily. (In fact I think that is what I'm going to do. Instead of covering the spikes I will just have guns slot into the gaps on each shield.)
