Really, they are that expensive?! The Tankers are pretty outrageous considering that they're not a multi-kit. Also, Arconovich & Standard Bearer are basically the price of two Man-O-War solos, which also happens to be the price of five Man-O-War troopers. Not sure what I was expecting there.

Making the Tankers seperate kits just seems like such a duck move... I think the expectation is that you don't pay GW prices for PP minis... Which is apparently not the case...

I never used to think of warmachine as the more expensive game to play, but at some point the catalog size for the main factions became so big and prices so high in certain cases that I've changed tune.

I mean, tankers are a large base model that is similar in price to other large base models in faction.
Nothing screams price creep here. Yes it's annoying they aren't a mulitkit, but I can see why that is. Aren't the shields totally different? That's a lot of extra plastic to shove in a box.

Only the bits where their hands go are different. And I suppose they're not character 'jack level expensive, but they're the same price as the large models that are multi-kits. It doesn't exactly scream price creep, but it does say price creep in its inside voice.

There has been plenty of price creep... Remember small based solos used to cost an average of $12? You can make excuses about exchange rates, increased costs, inflation, whatever... But the fact is you're paying close to double for new releases now compared with the start of Mk2.
It comes as a bit of a shock when you think you just need to pick up a hand full of models to complete your MoW theme and they are asking $250 for them...

In the UK they are still about 12 quid each for small solos. Heck, even Sorscha3 and The boomie officer are 12 pounds.

I am going to take it slow and just get a few things. I have Dragos from a prerelease. I previously purchased 1 unit each shox, bombs and demo corps from a used bin. I am working on converting an extra MoW Shocktrooper into a Strike Tanker. So I will just get Sorscha3, (1) MoW Suppression Tanker and (1) Bomb CA. I havn't put Atanas or the Battle Engines in any lists yet so they can wait. I really like the Atanas sculpt, but the cost is too much for me to commit to a unit I am still uncertain I will bring to the table.

Sure you are playing for dice....and then you make 3 of em in a row and your opponent starts to Female Dog about the tough rule ;-)

Technically we're allowed to "convert" a gun from any other gun in the game. Technically it doesn't even need to be original PP gun since the part % requirement is done by the whole tanker model.
Just magnetize and slap whatever on a Supressor and call it a day.

Picked up two suppression tankers today. They also had Sorcha3 and strike tankers but I'm holding out for UAs and Atanas. Anyone else get anything?

I’ve ordered: Sorscha3 2 x Supression Tanker 2 x Strike Tanker Dragos Arcanovich 2 x Bombardier UA 4 x Berserker/Rager/Mad Dog
I’m waiting for the Chariots to pop up on the PP Store to order two of them using my 20% coupon.
