So i have been toying around with the jack load out for Strakhov2 in Armoured Korps. And i got to thinking what about our newly improved Victor? Then i re-read the rules for Return Fire, I noticed that you do not actually have to target the model that shot you.
This seems ripe for some janky shots. Possible jank is getting out some rough terrian on your oppenents turn where they did not expect it, thinning out an infantry unit that has not actived yet. Or live the dream of they have exposed there caster get the Kill shot on their turn.
So is just me missing that and people have some jank stories of Return fire? If so i wanna here them

I've never actually gotten a return fire shot off with my victor. As soon as the spell goes up on him people stop making ranged attacks against him. It's a very useful deterrent but you can't rely on it actually triggering.
I will say there was one time where somebody put an assault into me and I decided to use return fire to punch him in the face (return fire lets you make melee attacks!)

Can you shield guard a shot onto Rager and then return fire with it?

Yeah - I haven't gotten it to work. That SAID - one place I could see it would be into say a Haley2 shooting list. They really DO need to whittle down Victor from afar (especially if you put inv. resolve on Victor). But again, all theory crafted.
Much more valuable has been sentry with Strakov1.

The problem is they have to actually choose to shoot your Viktor...

Someone should try to figure out some weirdo jank which allows you to sac pawn or sucker shots into something like E1 to extend her "you lose" shot. Not sure if possible - definately requires being out of theme to get both E1 and Ragman into the same list. But I don't see how Rags can get the shot redirected onto him to start the chain.
(God I hate when Juris SG's 3 times in that bloody Seige2 list).

(God I hate when Juris SG's 3 times in that bloody Seige2 list). Stop directly hitting his stuff . Ragass will die to a boosted pow 7, and to fire...

He creates chains. So if you fire at something near rags (or A&H) he chains it three times (Buster-Buster-Triumph) to where Triumph is which is usually out of blast range of everything else.

While WONDERFUL in theory that assumes said grunt can get THROUGH the mass of infantry and avoid the gun turret shot. Seriously, there is a REASON (in addition to playing the list now 95+ times) that Juris is representing the states at the WTC.

Well if he ends up playing team Wales I'll beat his backside for you to make you feel better.
