This will be my first time playing in public versus not one of my friends. See you Saturday. Race you to the bottom! Looking forward to seeing all the zerkova1 lists. I want to try her in AK once this tournament is over.

Good luck... to me!!!!
As for Zerkova, she's tonnes of fun! I run her in WGK for the sac pawn: it lets you play her up where she needs to be without needing to crutch on your feat to stay alive.

Ghost walk is incredibly good in general. I've caught more than a few people with their pants down by sending a redlined warjack or the gun carriage roaring through obstructions.
I'm torn between malakov and sorscha: she'd be generally better but Malakov is considerably harder to kill, and his speed/damage buff has fewer conditions on it.

Achieved our goal of dead last, despite all odds! Rounds two and three we went up against teams with only 4 players and got a free win each time. I Firetrucked up and won my games in rounds 2 and 3 so it was looking pretty precarious but the other guys hung in there.
Lost real quick in round 1 against Dreamer with my Zerko1 (I played real bad) ((I'm real bad lately with zerko1))
Won round 2 against Zaadesh with OW2. It was a bad matchup for the other guy: He didn't have any extollers, meaning I could blind his Siege Animans, and countercharge/defensive strike can be gotten around by my myriad ways to ice cage and stationary things. It got worse when he didn't measure my threat ranges turn 1 and I killed both BEs top of 2 by putting the Ragers and Fenris into them with various damage buffs.
Round 3 was against Butcher3 in WGK with OW2. I was in a bad spot for a while (didn't realize that ruin can't be targeted by spells!), but I managed to bait him out from behind a wall and trade Fenris and my Jugg for him. Not a great points trade but the threat reduction was higly important for getting OW2 up into the game. Dice were all over the place all game, highlights including aiyana rolling snakes to miss his gun carriage and me leaving it on 1 box, and him rolling a 1 on distance on his mortar twice to kill both aiyana and holt in subsequent turns. Game ended after turn 7 with us both having 1 minute on clock, and me winning on scenario 16 - 11. He had Butcher, a dog, Joe, and his Kodiak left, whereas I had a Ternion, a Koldun lord, Ragman, both Ragers, the Decimator, and OW2 left. Was pretty wild, and was a very enjoyable game!

Sounds like you had a blast. The placement is secondary. Great reading š

Congrats! Taking part and having fun is the most important thing.
Now, important question. If you could change anything or go back and improve. What would you do?

I'd play the first game differently, but other than that, not much! I might drop my zerkova list in the future: I've played it way too many times over the last 2 years and it's making me lazy when I do put it on the table. Gotta keep innovating on the jank front, as well. People are starting to respect my Ragers...

People are starting to respect my Ragers... As your second opponent, I can confirm I didn't respect your list enough... And learned a valuable lesson!

People are starting to respect my Ragers... As your second opponent, I can confirm I didn't respect your list enough... And learned a valuable lesson! They hit like little trucks. With OW2 they can hit a curse of shadow'd target with boundless charge and Crush. And then beat things half to death.

That was brutal and now I find myself making a lot of lists with them I'm a believer now!

The POW 15 shot is also nothing to sneeze at: strike true makes them RAT6 and the aforementioned CoS and Aiyana can make that a POW 19... Fix the to-hit with greylords and use the empower focus to boost. I'm pretty confident I could have shot one of those animantarax off the table if I didn't have the charge already!
