So I've been eyeing Circle for a while now and was recently able to snag a phenomenal deal on a lot of Circle. I now own a great deal of the faction but am not sure what to start with. Not really looking for HOW TO PLAY advice more just what warlock/theme you think really gives that CIRCLE playstyle.
I'm currently considering: Krueger1/2 - Devourer's Host 2una - BIRBS! Kromac1 - Wild Hunt Bradigus - Bones Kaya3 - Call of the Wild

Krueger2 feels very quintessentially Circle in maplewhiskey's batreps, further down the forum list. Dunno about Devourer's Host though; maple likes him in Bones. The Twona Boat / Griffon Swarm list also seems very mobile, which is part of what we're famed for, rightly or not.

that'll go great with my fantastic ability to consistently clock myself while ahead by most other measures.

Depends on what your opinion on circle plaustyle is.
Do you like Jank, movement shenanigans, and dicking on your opponent? Mohsar, Wurmy, Krueger2
Do you like Furries, smashing face and hiding behind terrain till your opponent unveils your trap card? Kaya3, Una2, Kromac 1/2
Do you Like Terrain generation and Denial? Baldur1, Wurmwood, Baldur2
I would say, the best starting caster is Baldur1. Straightforward, gives you a circle feel without forcing a horrible learning curve (aka forgiving) and has a versatile play style. He plays Devo Host, Bones, and even Call fairly well. He’s a really good caster to introduce you to the faction.
I would then say, the best caster to buy second depends on what theme you go with.
Devo Host? Krueger1 or Wurmwood Bones? Krueger 2, Wurmwood or Baldur 2 Call? Kaya 3, Kromac 1/2,Una2
To warn you, Both Krueger2 and Wurmwood are hard casters to really learn. They have deep toolkit’s and lots of quirky interactions. So you may need a LOT of practice to really start Unlocking them.

I got so much in the lot I'm getting distracted by all the shiny stuff I've heard of (no regular circle player in my meta). I can see how he might run a lot pretty well.

I like Tanith and Baldur1 in CotW and Wild Hunt respectively I really liked Tanith as well. I felt like she really had a good toolbox. Admonition to help keep your more expensive beasts alive. Defense debuffs to let them hit with out primal. Arm reducer to help kill. A spell to make Reeves a deadly unit. I think my biggest issue with her was that I did not have an arcnode outside of feat turn as I still don't own the Gallows Grove. If we had a Snipe animus she would be top tier for sure.

My only problem with Tanith...fury 6...on a non melee/combat caster who's feat doesn't mesh well with CotW

Kirk, our completely and utterly unfair circle player, uses 2 separate lists, one of which he's still getting used to and the other that is just... gay really really gay x.x
The gay one would be Wurmwood in the Wild Hunt with a crap ton of wolves of oboros x.x
The other would be Krueger2 in bones, where he's more using it as a way to neutralize e-leap lists than anything else.
Now, as for lists that feel like Circle:
Kaya 1, 2, or 3 in Call of the Wild or Kromac 2 in Devourer's Host

he's been playing his wurmwood list since the middle of mark 2. Wild Hunt didn't put any limitations on it whatso ever, just gave him free points, so he's been laughing it up. I'd give you the bulk of it if my war room was working but it's currently bugged x.O; they really REALLY need to get on that.

New ADR casters would probably be a really good place to start and focus on. Morvhana 1 is probably the short bus caster on the list. But hopefully she'll see some changes in CID.
But yes, echo the "find a play style you like" not the play style you think should be Circle-y.
Krueger and Wurmwood are high skill casters but you should have enough "things you can do" vs. "things you should do" that you can make mistakes and still not have things fall apart.
