We're back! Didn't expect that, did you?

On this episode, Wolfe and I go over a slight update to our podcast format, and cover the Ravens of War and Children of the Dragon theme. We also welcome special guest Cutter to the show, who helps bring us some sweet sweet Legion Tech and goes over his Kallus1 Ravens of War list (It's real spicy).

Normally the Beast mistress and shredders are actually Incubii and a Hellmouth. I feel that is a stronger combo but you made the rules

Spirit cauldron adds corpses to the Spawning Vessel when ever it's not puppet mastering Azrael/Kryssa/Warlords. I've been able to generate 20 points worth of shredders in a single 5-round drag-out game against CoC (so only friendly corpses + cauldron). Feat turn Pow 13 weapon masters with a free charge and 2 more bought attacks on a 11.5 threat (or with pathfinder if desperately needed) are pretty legit. Harriers do a decent job jamming with Cloak of Ash striders pushing the striders to Def 18 versus living models (-2 cloak and -1 annoyance). BM can be pow 12 WM with 6 attacks under feat. They just bring a lot of output for little initial input cost. The cauldron + vessel can just keep refilling the lessers as long as you can keep the Beast mistress safe.

I swear that doesn't work with Blight storm. Because Tanith's affliction doesn't work that way either. I really want an official ruling on that. I don't mind if I am wrong but the wording isn't there to make me believe that's an intended rule interaction. I would think if would need to say "...and the damage roll fails to exceed ARM, that model suffers 1 point of damage from the attack instead." The way it's written it really sounds like Blight Storm or Affliction would be the sources of the damage and would not be considered damage from an attack.

I agree that the wording is strange. Perhaps I'll make a post on the rules forum about it.
