Not discouraged at all, it reads like Legion are in a sticky spot at the competitive end of things, but that they are likely still very much fun at the casual end of the game. It also sounds like its not universal to Legion, though legion have a worse hand than some others. Game balance is always a nightmare of opinions and experiences and a huge mixed bag. Though yes full balance discussion is possibly best saved for another thread. Interesting to note that there's not much mention of any more preview or rumoured changes/models to come (asides from those already presented recently and the centaur style cavalry to come). No mention (so far) of any new plastic kits or changes is also good, in my view. Some models (like the afore mentioned legionnaires) are still on my "to get" or "get more of" list, so hearing that there's nothing big changing there hinted at is reassuring that I don't have ot rush out to grab stuff up in metal (I'm sort of disappointed I didn't get more nephelim in metal, though honestly 2 soldiers, 2 bolt throwers and a protector should be more than enough) Not 100% sure when you stopped or where releases were when you did, but the "recent" resculpts I can think of have been: Swordsmen, Strider (Box kit for scouts/blightblades), Proteus. The Proteus is a metal/resin combo though. Lately, really big (so far I think just battle engines/garganutans/colossals) are exclusively through PP now instead of the normal distributors/resellers. They sometimes use the new good plastic you'd expect to see in GW sculpts for some new releases but not as frequently as most feel they should. As for new releases beyond, the Primal Terrors stuff is set to arrive over the course of this month and the next so it shouldn't be that crazy to think we have no further indication on our next releases. They're busy hyping other stuff up after all.

Aye I saw proteous and most of the other resculpt re-releases before I dropped out. Was surprised to see that good old Typhon hadn't been redone as he's quite an old model.
For me its more about planning on if I have to pick up anything before a material change as I honestly do like (and prefer) the metal over the plastics from PP that I've used (Neraph, carny body etc..). Athough I think the only two things that I'd like to get more of that would push me to buy sooner with a material change would be legionnaires and cavalry.

While I wouldn't turn down a Typhon resculpt, I think he's among the best of the old designs/style/quality, but that's just my opinion. While I prefer metal in many cases as well (especially with PP), I'd honestly also personally love to see the rest of the nyss redone, even if it means plastic. I absolutely despise the old sculpt/design of swordsmen/archers, hex hunters, and striders and love the new sculpts even if they are the crappier PP plastic. Legionnaires are about the only old nyss units I don't think look super ugly.
