I was wondering how tanky we might become when the new Ogrun models arrive.
I mainly play Cryx - for Hordes I have Legion and Skorne. I am thinking of dropping a horde faction.
I like the current Ogrun models. Skorne...while I like Immortals and the Titans I find many of the other units are not to my taste aesthetically.
Of course, Skorne plays a very different game to Cryx...and I am shockingly bad with threat ranges which makes Everblight a real struggle at times.
I know the cavalry Ogres are described as very heavy which I assume means they won't fall over if the enemy looks at them funny.
So...long story short: Legion for looks but Skorne for playstyle.
What might we reasonably expect from the new models? How tanky can Everblight be (if Cryx is one end and Skorne the other)
Thank you.

Legion has a few "Tanky" options.
The most obvious is the one you mentioned, the ogrun. They are really only tanky when they are backed up by the blightbringer, which gives them +2 armor with its aura.
Saeryn can give her army a turn of +3 armor, which really turns the BE into a tanky beast.
pThagrosh gives everything within 10 inches -2 strength, which really makes you are to kill in melee. My favorite way to run this is with Children of the Dragon, which gives your Nephelim unyielding. You can also do it alongside the Primal Terrors/BB, which also has lots of natural synergy with his strength buff on the warspears. pThags can also bring along his pet beast Tyhpon, who got a big discount recently (24 -> 20) who can really be hard to kill with his animus (excessive healing).
Our core tanky beast, the carnivean, has gotten a few major buffs recently (discount, cheaper animus, better spray).
The battle engine is naturally tanky (Arm 20, 38 boxes, snacking) alongside it being an amazing piece in general.
Our tanky infantry, the legionnaires, are in a bad place right now. They have some potential but really only take a punch on the UAs minifeat turn.
eThagrosh is personally tanky, and gained a lot of buffs recently as a frontline tanky caster. With lessers he is hard to shoot off the table but will struggle to take any significant offense to the face.
pAbby gained the ability to give her entire battlegroup excessive healing alongside healing the entire thing, and can prevent non-reach beasts from spending focus/fury when swinging on your beasts.
Lylyth3 can take a punch, and can prevent nonmagical shooting from hitting her and nearby models.
In general we will never take a punch as well as most other factions. Our models are expensive and short on HP/Armor. Your best bet is going to be to mitigate how many fronts you engage on personally, and prevent your opponent from putting their entire offensive output into your army. We can provide a tanky list, but it is never going to be as hard a skew as most other armys can field.

To be honest, if you're looking for "tanky" Legion isn't where I would recommend, at least not until Chosen release (provided they release as tanky as we need them to manage gunlines); and, yeah, the Blightbringer is going to be necessary for that. If you really like Ogrun, you can take that route, but you're not going to find a lot of tanky stuff in Legion outside of that, other than what twity mentioned with Thagrosh1. Skorne can provide a much stronger tanky feel with both the Krea animus and the agonizer, on top of higher base ARM across the board.

Thagrosh 1 Primal Terrors with Blight Bringer and Ogrun can be very Tanky.
Warmongers can get up to effectively armour 22 in Melee: Arm 16 + 2 Unyielding + 2 BB aura + 2 Thags aura (-2 str). Fog of war also brings concealment .
Get a Warmonger Warchief to give Ogyrn blood drinker as well to heal up damage. These all make for a very tanky build.

Thagrosh1 beast brick is still a strong tanky list as well. While the days of rampant handing out SG are gone, you can still build a list around the inherently-tanky options like Carniveans, Typhon, Throne. Prior to theme lists I loved Proteus under Thagrosh1 too. The battlegroup sits at around an effective ARM22, with one beast potentially coming back from the feat. 4-5 heavies+BE with one coming back and still enough room for a unit is pretty tough to crack. I've watched armies just bounce right off it, hurt a bunch of stuff but otherwise fail to finish the job, then get slaughtered in retaliation.
