If i may ask... what silver did you use? It's not actually silver. I used Molotow Liquid Chrome markers.

Woo, shiny! No concealment for her! The Phasma connection is cool. Very creative!

That’s crazy cool! Are those markers hard to use?

That’s crazy cool! Are those markers hard to use? Not at all. They're like a pain pen or felt tip pen. The liquid is also self leveling. So it does a lot of the work for you. You do need to remember to keep the butt of the pen facing up while using it though. So gravity feeds the liquid into the tip. Matte coat ruins the reflection though. Which is what matte coating is for, so no surprise. I painted her head and cape and washed her skirt in black. Matte coated, and then applied the chrome. I kept her shield and cape off until after everything dried. To make it easier. Had to touch up a couple things, but overall it went really well.

I'm actually sorta tempted to get Sorcha3 when she comes out and do her this way too. Not sure if it'd be weird to have two Phasmas or not though.

I'm not really sure what I'm going to chrome up yet, but I'm leaning towards a warjack since I have a couple in my project que anyway right now.

I could see using it on shiny parts of especially fancy warjacks. Like Galant or Rocenante. Maybe to make the face plate look polished or on filgry

I've been planning to try to paint up Gallant to be real fancy, this could work! I think I'm going to test it on a T800 first, those guys should look good in chrome.

I used Molotow Liquid Chrome markers. My markers arrived and I've been experimenting with them. From what I can tell the finish from just the markers is not very robust; it seems to get cloudy just from rubbing my finger over the surface. I tried some different varnishes, and the one that affects the finish the least is brush-on GW gloss varnish, but even that DOES have an effect on the finish. Tesoe, I was wondering if you applied any sort of varnish, and if not whether you've had any issues with the finish not holding up to handling?
