I think the legion and Troll CiD's has shown us that Gargantuans are getting band aid fixes through the CiD process. So far the Mountain king, Glacier king, Blight Bringer, and Archangel have been or are in CiD and they seem to be getting very meaningful changes. There is no one fix, the standard rule-set for gargs are great but there are some gargs with glaring issues. The Sepulcher also got a small tweak back in the Bane/Thrall CID, but not enough to make it see reasonable table time.

I know tuning is certainly preferable, but obviously that's a difficult thing to get right.
Isn't the general fix of adjusting the price point until it's a good investment the safer route?

In order to do this you need gargossal CID, or you can do this as a part of faction CID(current approach)

I know tuning is certainly preferable, but obviously that's a difficult thing to get right. Isn't the general fix of adjusting the price point until it's a good investment the safer route? Maybe? I don’t think across the board changes Work in this case. Because each Garg has its own unique issues. Eg: 1: The storm Raptor has a low Mat, low survivability and it’s animus is clunky to use. A points drop alone doesn’t fix those issues. 2: The Judicatory suffers from having the ranged weapons of a light, and being apparently designed to churn infantry but struggles at its role due to accuracy issues. 3: The Khador Collossals are competing with heavies 1/3 Of thier cost that do more than 1/3 of the work it does in Melee. Also the victor main gun needs help. Those are 3 prominent Collossal/Garg issues I can verify are legit. All 3 require specific fixes and I think an across the board point drop does not address them well enough

I feel like slow Coll/Garg lost a bit of it's power due to SR2017, because usually it's huge point investment, which cannot be in many places at once. PP, pls give Judi/Revel +1 SPD =)

I don't think Colossals or Gargantuans in general are in a position where they need a dedicated rework. Some aren't great and should be looked at during a normal CID process but there's plenty that are perfectly fine where they are.

This is by no means a 'good/balanced' incentive to put them in lists, but it's definitely one that would liven up games that involve them...
Colossals - Focus cap 4, Power-up for 2, an additional system row of boxes separate from the two halves as repair mechanisms are quite thin on the ground Gargantuans - auto-drop 1 Fury (optional) when leeching, more boxes (case by case)... and give the Storm Raptor Deceptively Mobile...!

Infernal Machines is the worst Cryx Theme by a large margin, and when it is played its for spamming cheap Thralls, and a Colossal takes away from the Thrall horde. The Sepulcher would likely see quite a bit of play, just like the Kraken does if it’s synergy gimmick that we’re paying points for worked in literally any other theme.

I completely agree (I also think it should go back to RNG 11 on it's secondary guns like it released in MK2) 90% of the times you want to play Infernal Machines for thrall spam, because you need the Shield Guards to protect your jacks anyway and then you don't want to pay 36 points for something that's not spam.

AA fix is pretty good in CID I think. It natively gaining +2 power to its guns works well. As a side effect also buffing other fire effects is pretty neat. He's a bit pricey to run too many fire shooting beasts along side - and you still want Naga and Bolt throwers with the big ranged Lylths really - which are not fire. It really may stand up nicely enough. Teraphs, Ravagores, Croaks, and some spells from our casters are the main other sources of fire.
The Blight bringer - is yet to be figured out. I've found him quite poor in senerio. I have this idea where you might run 2 Blightbringers and a lot of Rotwings and Ogryn I might test tonight. I'm not awed by his animus - but the speed and mat increase is pretty cool.
