Kinda small release overall. Like...6 things altogether. That's quite literally half of what Cryx gained.
I hate to keep noticing this but it just gets under my skin.
Edit: Actually its quite a bit smaller then most CIDS even.

1 Caster 1 Warbeast 2x Unit 1 Command Attachment 1 Solo
vs Trolls
1 Caster 2 Warbeasts 1 Battle Engine 2x? Units ? Solos
vs Cygnar
1 Caster 3x Units 2x Command Attachments 3x Solos 1x Structure
Cryx I don't remember.
But inB4, "releases are no longer symmetrical." Gotta save those resources and ideas for other factions.

Already submitted my battle report. PP has said they like where they are. They are wrong, like they often are. But sure, anything goes as long as your faction ends up OP amiright?

1: How could anybody complain after a game where doggo killed blightbringer?!? 2: What's your opinion on whether Haley3 is OP? 3: Why did the second long gunner CRA on turn 2 go into a random ogrun rather than finishing off the hellmouth? It seems like that left it alive for another turn as they should have been in range for a full doubletap after running t1? I'm looking forward to the developers' response to Shoe's post, that should be instructive

I am a Legion player so I won't comment on anything here. But it is nice to see others looking in from the outside and what their impressions are. I completely missed the Playing God clause where it is any transfer and not once per turn. While this CID has a large string of buffs (centered around Primal Terrors), does anyone see any that fall short of the intent? What do you think Legion players need to playtest the most? (or top3 - or one that seems OP and one that seems still in need or whatever) Two things I would like to see tested a lot are
1. Survivability of Chosen when buffed 2. The level of accuracy and damage fixers in Primal Terrors and Anamag in particular
I am undecided whether either is a problem, but they jump out as being potentially too strong
I played chosens with Thags2 (+2 armor on unit and no offensive buffs) And I think they were resonable. I counted damage with arm buff and without it. Maany atacks would kill them without buff, and with it they survived, healed and sometimes lived throug more attacks. They are pain in the ass to low pow infantry but they have 2 attacks each for 4 points per model. Slowly grinding each other with Iron fangs was kinda fair fight. Grymkin heavies were killing 2 of them per turn with armor buff, 3 is also reachable but I didn't alowed it with positioning. Remeber they are DEF 11 so almost everyting hits Without offensive support they were doing some hurt to heavies, but nothing above the edge. They are close to playable unsupported, depends if you need them. If somebody supports them both with offense and defense buffs they are very solid and they should be. If somebody like Anamag pushes them over the edge I would focus on him, not nerfing whole faction becouse of 1 warlock. I will post full battle reports and play some more ogruns next game night.

I'm looking forward to the developers' response to Shoe's post, that should be instructive Doggo is always value, brigadier-general doggo doesn't like your tone. The hellmouth was indefinitely stalling scenario, but on that side I wasn't actually scoring anything and neither was my opponent. I wanted to preserve the long gunners for as long as possible so I decided to kill the immediate threats that would remove my models rather than the longer term threat. I ran turn 1, but on turn 2 only 5 models were in aiming range of the hellmouth, so I did a Pow 21 cra into it and then the second shot would only be Pow 15, so I couldn't kill it with the second shot. Haley 3 is very strong, but has some harsh weaknesses. If anything makes her op its incorporeal, which is true of every model with incorporeal and is mostly a function of how extremely live SR2017 is.

So far, the most amusing thing for me is people complaining about chosen getting bogged down in melee. Which is where they are massively better than basically any other heavy cavalry for the same cost...
Cheers, Dave

Dude, if those were "Lightning Tendrils" and available to Cygnar, you'd say they needed to be FA:3. You aren't fooling anyone. So, octaviusmaximus is biased towards Cygnar. In other news, water is wet, the sky is blue, and players whose faction is in CID are being unnecessarily defensive of their broken crap. Cut the ad hominems. The fact that Octavius isn't impartial (and for chrissake, I've butted heads with him enough over Cygnar) doesn't automatically mean Hellmouths are fine. Personally, I think there are (and that I and others have made) compelling arguments for their being out of line with their point cost in terms of durability, board impact, and ability to control the opponent's movement. Address those arguments, or stop engaging.

Our local Legion is up for playing some CID games with me next week, looking forward to actually playing against some of this stuff, instead of just using my massive brain and infallible perception...

Giant CRAs are unfortunately one of the few ways to deal with the hellmouth.
But I'm more concerned about anamang
