I went to purchase a bunch of model cards at the store. But they are now gone. Why did they remove them. Because they no longer sell cards. They are all available online here: cards.privateerpress.com You can choose what ones you want, put them into a PDF and then print them out for free.

But they had some form of print on demand option on their online store that I took advantage of once and I wanted to take advantage of again. Like I honestly don't want to go to kinkos to have them print the cards on card stock.... I don't know why I just don't.

Yeah, around here I would have a hard time getting cards printed exactly right, so it would be nice to have the option of purchasing high quality cards. But... with cards changing at any given moment, and so many people not bothering and just using warroom anyway, I guess there's just not much demand. It's probably not cost effective now (if it ever was), and with digital files available for free they don't actually need to provide it as a service to their players any more. Bit of a shame.

It is almost certain that PP lost money selling individual cards. It's simply not profitable to keep stock of spare cards which you can't reasonably sell for a profit. Plus with Errata being a much more common thing, their stock would rapidly become completely out of date. Nobody would buy a card that isn't up to date, and it would lose PP money to update their stock each time a card changed.
The truth is, physical cards are a thing of the past unless you are willing to take the extra effort to make your own from the PDFs that PP is generous enough to give those who absolutely must have physical cards.

That's assuming that they kept them in stock rather than printing them on demand.
I do love the online card database, it's very convenient to be able to look up any card at any time on any platform. But I still love physical cards; in fact, my desire to actually be able to hold physical objects in my hands is part of the reason why I love miniature games and don't just spend all my time playing video games. Luckily I do have a printer so I can print my own, but they'll never be quite as nice as the ones from PP. Oh well.

All of it from their help desk related to their promised print on demand option was "we're working on it"

All of it from their help desk related to their promised print on demand option was "we're working on it" I asked them awhile back about this and they did confirm that they would like to have print on demand as a option but they are still working on a way to get it to work for both the customers and for the company.
