Pretty interesting face details. I don't have nearly the painting skill required to showcase that though

I see there is a new sculpt for him on the PP site. NEW: OLD: Is the new one even really an upgrade? I mean, the details are more detailed... I might buy the new body and put a generic Skorne head on him. Dislike all the little piercings.

i like the old one better, the new one ruined his face. Like, butchered it. Its also too similiar a pose to Hexy2, so its harder to tell them apart at a glance (just look for the ugly face i guess)
Old hexy1 looks more menacing too imo

To the OP, I've got much love for Hexy1, going back to MKII even. I think he still has great game in WoD, comparble to Fatty, though not quite as good. -3ARM every turn two whole units is legitimate tech, along with the rest of his package.
The point about his back-handed nerf is valid though. The chamge to Fate Walker hurts, as did the change to Bone Grinders. The ability to move far forward for either personal work or stealing Fury was very good. Despite the skornergy, I liked Soulfire as my stock RFP tech nuke. Marketh was very useful as well too.
The new model is hideous. I always loved the old one as well.

To the OP, if I got assassinated more with fatty, I'd consider moving to Hexy1, as he's just more survivable overall. But it hasn't been a problem (I don't run a Krea with him either). Their kits are just too similar not to view one as superior to the other. Hexy may be superior into certain matchups, but Rasheth is better overall and is more of a pain to your opponent.

I dislike the Rasheth model enough that I will never play him. There's so many other good models that I do play and have yet to play that I'm losing nothing from shelving one that is only rarely represented in big tourneys, and never in local ones.

If you mean "Rasheth is rarely represented in big tourneys" I'm not sure what to say. Look harder? He's basically the faction mainstay and has been since WoD dropped. If that's not what you meant then I'm confused.

I wouldn't at all. Even if Fatty got assassinated more, that would never justify hexy1. The loss of castigate, the feat thats non functional into plenty of match ups, the single node that cant be cycled vs the unlimited warrior nodes, the loss of Breath of Corruption which has incredible area denial vs single wound models + its a cloud. like theres an absolute gulf in viability between them. No contest. if fatty got assassinated too much i'd rather practice better positioning or consider dropping the list pair rather than play hexy1

If you mean "Rasheth is rarely represented in big tourneys" I'm not sure what to say. Look harder? He's basically the faction mainstay and has been since WoD dropped. If that's not what you meant then I'm confused. Yes, quite right - it was well off the cuff for me to be using the word rare, when another way of putting it would have been better. Something like "No more frequently than a variety of other casters we have that are also considered strong." Thus, I don't find his representation to really sing de-facto must have of our faction choices. So while rare was a poor choice of words, I stand by the intent of my comments - really don't like the model, plenty of other strong choices to play. I think you've hit the proverbial nail on the head tho. Having the single theme list of WoD made many of us crutch on him when we otherwise might not have because a) felt obliged to get free points to compete, b) he is a strong warlock in that theme, and c) WoD is actually a strong theme anyway. I'm not sure about anyone else, but I didn't play Skorne to play Venators every tourney I did have some doubts about my memory tho, so I tried to fact check myself to make sure I hadn't missed something significant. The stuff that came to hand from 2017 (probably well incomplete, and hardly an international view) is pretty much what I recalled. In 2017: 13 Skorne top 3 finishes, 4 had a Rasheth in the pair. Not insignificant, but Zaal2 was there in the same frequency and Makeda2 was only one behind at 3 appearences, as was Morghoul2. It's a pretty limited view as it hardly represents the entire field, but it's basically what we see come out as tournament news.

Fair enough. He's definitely a caster ready for a joke sculpt or an epic incarnation. (Preferably where he decided to ditch the palanquin and beat face himself).
And I understand the "I don't play Skorne for the guns" idea. I usually leave him in a pairing for intimidation purposes though.

I really liked the Facebook group suggestion of a cheerleader with pom poms standing on cheerleader agonizers.
