This resource contains all existing theme forces for Legion of Everblight. Discussions and tactics for these theme lists will be linked here for reference to how to build for and play those theme lists.
Ravens of War
Models allowed:
- Legion warlocks
- Non-character warbeasts with flight
- Non-character light warbeasts
- Grotesque model/units
- Strider model/units
- Raptor model/units
- Blighted Nyss Sorceress & Hellion solos
- Forsaken solos
- Spell martyr solos
Benefits
- Free small based solo or command attachment per full 20 points of units.
- Enemy warrior models, warjacks and warbeasts lose advance deployment.
- One grotesque raider unit gains ambush.
Overview
Ravens of War offers a very strategic playstyle that emphasizes outmaneuvering your opponent rather than confronting them directly. A good basic infantry module for Ravens of War is to take 1 unit of Blightblades, 1 unit of Raptors, and 1 unit of Grotesque Raiders. These come to exactly 40 points for 2 free solos (possibly 2 deathstalkers) and results in an infantry force that can be anywhere on the table as needed.
Oracles of Annihilation
Models allowed:
- Legion warlocks
- Non character warbeasts
- Models/units with magic ability
- Spawning Vessel units
- Spell martyr solos
Benefits
- Free command attachment or solo per 25 points of warbeasts.
- Give one non-warlock unit apparition for a turn at the start of your control phase.
- Begin with free upkeeps.
Overview
Oracles of Annihilation is the closest to legion's 'standard' beast-oriented theme list. With few beast restrictions and access to free forsaken, and cheap quality screening, you can run lists closer to the mk2 glory days and not feel as crippled in points or fury management.
Children of The Dragon
Models allowed:
- Legion warlocks
- Lesser warbeasts
- Non-character Nephilim
- Blighted Nyss models/units
- Incubi solos
- Spell martyrs
- Succubus
Benefits
- Free command attachment, 5 incubi, or small based solo per 25 points of warbeasts.
- Nephilim gain unyielding.
- You gain +1 to your starting roll.
Overview
An unusual theme list emphasizing infantry choices, but still basing its free models off of warbeasts. Good execution of CoTD really depends on your warlock and whether or not they can do enough to make nephilim work, while still liking infantry. Warlocks that like both warbeasts and infantry such as Fyanna2, Vayl1, and Kryssa, can put together reasonable CoTD. If you're willing (or indeed looking) to spam nephilim, then casters like Abby2 and Thagrosh2 can potentially make a strong case for CoTD as nephilim soldier spam.
