I like Nemo2 a lot because he is really fun to play, and similar to Kraye's Iron Horse, Nemo2 can do things with his focus matrix and feat that no other jack caster can do. Kraye is probably more competitive in my mind, and also a blast to play, but I was curious what the opinion is on Nemo2.
The list I have for him on my phone is in Heavy Metal:
Nemo2 Squire (free) Ironclad Hammersmith Centurion Defender x2 Thunderhead
Arlan (free)
Jr. (free) - Sentinel
Nemo himself is obviously the weak link, and scenario is a potential problem, but it's fun to play and isn't terrible I think.
I want to ask, does anybody have a list for him outside of Heavy Metal that utiltized Polarity Field on a unit? Storm Division would also let him actually use his veteran leader ability, but since practically his entire spell list, abilities and feat is focused on his battlegroup it seems like a huge opportunity cost to leave Heavy Metal.

One thing that seems interesting with Nemo2 is that he can throw maybe seven boosted electrical blasts through an arc node on his feat turn, which is a decent spell assassination.

Polarity field is probably most useful on colossal, battle engines, and sometimes warjacks. In a colossal vs colossal fight, polarity shield lets the cygnar colossal out threat the other colossal, even with a 10” melee threat range. Centurions don’t need the spell but demonstrate perfectly how annoying it is to kill a heavy without charging it sometimes. Too bad nemo2 can’t take brickhouse in a theme. Then you could help ret players understand what it’s like fighting a model with ARM 18+ and carapace that you can’t charge.

I use the Centurion paired with either the Hammersmith or Ironclad to create a front line of two unchargeable heavies, backed up by the rest. The Defenders are great since on feat turn they can activate before the feat and generate 6 more focus for Nemo to switch upkeeps or camp, as well as providing a solid ranged threat.

I use to play Nemo2 and Nemo1 with 2 Centurions and 3 Ironclads. Though... I wish Nemo1 and 2 would get a rework

He can't get 7 If he brings like 6-7 jacks and a squire then feats and sucks all the focus from them, that's 7+(6x3)+1=26 or 7+(7x3)+1=29 focus. A boosted electrical blast costs 4, and 4x7 is 28 focus. I'm going from memory rather than looking at any cards, so forgive me if I'm wrong.

...I wish Nemo1...would get a rework Nemo1 one of the best casters in faction. Like, top 6-7. He's the most under-talked about and most under-appreciated caster in Cygnar.

I can agree with the most under talked and most underapperciated but even by your standard hes in the lower echelon(which is being generous saying hes rank 6 or 7).

I can agree with the most under talked and most underapperciated but even by your standard hes in the lower echelon(which is being generous saying hes rank 6 or 7). This is a faction with 21 warcasters, so being in the top 25%-30% makes him pretty hot shit in my book. I mean, he's competing with Haley2, Haley3, Caine3, Sloan, Stryker 1 & 2, Siege2. You know, I'm putting him in that elite group of casters. This faction has some of most powerful casters in the entire game so when I say "Nemo1 is in the top 6 or 7 in this faction" he's far, far, far removed from "lower echelon". If you think being a top 10 caster in this faction makes a model "lower echelon" then....thats nuts. I mentioned the seven casters above, add Nemo1 for 8, them add Nemo3 and Kraye and tell me which of these 10 casters is "low tier" because you can't convince me any of them are. And what I'm saying is in this elite pool of casters, many of whom are ball busting, Nemo1 sits among their ranks.

I'd be happy to debate you on this. If you like to start a new thread on it I'd be happy to post on it. Otherwise its going to be a back and forth talk on Nemo1 on a Nemo2 thread.

If you are planning on using Nemo 2 more as a Warmachine drop, I would maybe play him in Storm Division and take Reinholdt as your merc solo (heresy I know, as you miss out on Ragman), getting 2 shots on his gun could really make people want to table flip

I would likely run him with a hurricane. Then you have built in knock down and a great model to put PF on. On Feat turn if you could have the Hurricane knock down the enemy caster and be in range to arc spells for assassinations. Love Hammersmiths with him as he has Lightning Shroud and Energizer.
