Why more robots...i feel like there are so many other choices. I hope theyre different enough from co0c Because the games main selling point is steamjacks and robots, maybe??? Not when they already have a faction dedicated to robots...

So, tin foil hat speculation here, but... did you ever notice that we don't see the bottom section of these tanks? Like... anything could be down there. I think mostly everyone is just assuming treads, because that's what tanks have. But what if they're not? What if they're wheels? Or LEGS? Stormstrider, the faction, anyone?

Too much attention is given to the cosmetics and fluff of the faction over gameplay. The thematic overlap with other factions is forgivable if Crucible Guard has its own distinct playstyle and ruleset in the meta.
Robots doods and tanks won't make me buy new toys. A truly unique playstyle and options unfound outside in Warmachine would.

There are already too many games with legged 'tanks' (Konflikt, Dust). I'd prefer wheels/treads (obviously, also common, but it's not a choice for the sake of trying to make a unique look).
Just make them play different, that's all I want, as well.

I'm sure they'll start teasing rules soon, plus the whole faction will be in CID at some point.

I think Crucible Guard has some potential. I never had any interest in COC or Grymkin but if Guard does a good job of getting the game back to its "steampunk meets WW1-era pulp" roots while at the same time putting just a little spin on that, then I might be tempted to buy in.

That was my reasoning as well but I see so much overlap between looks that i'm starting to have doubts...
The robot looks like a CoC guy with hard edges... The caster looks like a trencher with mustard-gas gear...

If i remember my history correctly religion and technological advancement don't go hand in hand. Remember the dark ages? Well me neither but history tells us there was too much Christianity telling people technology was bad or something. This made me lol.

I'm obviously being really useless, but where are the images for the robot and caster that people are discussing?

The caster was at WMW, the concept art only afaik and the robot was at pax? Check PP's facebook or the PAx event itself, should be there.

Sadly a google image search for "crucible guard caster" or "Aurum Legate Lukas di Morray" gives me nothing. Same for a facebook search. Search unluck.

This is the first I've heard of a caster. They showed the 3d sculpts of two different warrior models at Lock in Load, the art for an alchemist was at some con, and one of them tweeted a picture of a robot they confirmed was a solo.
