ghost fleet has 1 unit of incorporeal models and their battle engine, which are there for a specific reason. Dark Host uses ghostly, not incorporeal. Gremlin Swarms exist for a reason beyond being incorporeal; they can deal a nasty amount of damage to a 'jack regardless of armor and are cheap flag contesters. As for what you said first, I agree. I was pointing out to the person who said that they had no access to magical in order to counter incorporeal that, well, yeah they do x.x; Part of the strength of Ghost Fleet is that the unit of incorporeal models makes it harder to counter, because not only do you need to bring something that can deal with the recursion on the revenants and Denny1 assassinations, but you also need to bring enough magic weapons that you don't just get swarmed by Blackbanes and die. Dark Host generally has a battle engine, which is incorporeal. Also, one of the reasons why Gremlin Swarms are so good at messing with jacks and contesting flags is because, since they are incorporeal (among other things), they are hard to kill.

Except immunities seem to affect guns 90% of the time, which is a problem for certain gameplans. Again, you may not be able to even gut your stuff into melee properly, and often times a melee attack's higher pow is a waste on the models that have immunities anyways. You want to know a secret to Warmachine? Sometimes, you need to consider what's across the table when you formulate your gameplan. "I'm going to run up and hide behind a cloudwall" is a terrible strategy against Legion because most of their models have eyeless sight. "I'm going to hang back and shoot them off the table" is a terrible strategy against a stealth army because you will miss all your attacks. "I'm going to shoot them off the table with non-magical guns" is a terrible strategy against Blackbanes. "I'm going to take them down with a bunch of POW 10 gunshots" is a terrible strategy against a wall of Khador jacks because your attacks are too weak to do anything but harmlessly bounce off. And "I'm going to kill them all with fire" is a terrible strategy against Assault Kommandos. That's when you: 1. Try to construct a list pairing that can handle what your opponents are likely to throw at you, and 2. Change your plans. If your plan to get through life is to bash your head against everything until it gives, when you come face to face with a brick wall is a good time to reconsider your plan. A good chunk of the game is that some models are weak against some things and some models are strong against some things. Learn to recognize those strenghts and weaknesses and formulate your plans accordingly, instead of complaining that your screwdriver isn't effective enough at hammering in nails. In one of my first games, I deployed my Widowmakers directly across the table from a stealth unit. As a result, they got slaughtered and I learned what Widowmakers are good against and bad against. You aren't convincing me otherwise. Just saying that right now. Okay, then if you're cool with being wrong and saying things which are laughably absurd, go right on ahead...

Dude, I understand how the game works. I've been playing for almost two years now. I'm only pointing out what appears to be a poorly constructed game mechanic. I didn't come here to fight, but if you want one I sure as hell will give you one.

Might as well have a mod lock this one. Discussion's pretty much over and it's been taken over by two children trying to argue via memes.

Agreed. Let's not make a repeat of this discussion until we can act like adults hmm?
