I just bought the big bundle from humble bumble, and got me thinking about what order I need to read them in.
I've previously read the one with the cygnarian civil war (blood of kings I think),and flashpoint.

Luckily I just wrote this up last week for another post!
The Skull Island books that are relevant to the overarching plot right now are, in order: Blood of Kings Acts of War 1: Flashpoint Acts of War 2: Aftershock
These follow the end of the Vinter's Heir plotline that was established in the MkII Forces of Warmachine: Cygnar book (I believe) and was carried through Wrath, Colossals, Vengeance, and Reckoning and then leads in to the new main MkIII plot. Blood of Kings is the only one of the three that takes place before the 2-year timeskip that divides the MkII and MkIII plots.
Fire & Faith: Godless is about the Protectorate and some potential big changes to their leadership, however I'm not sure how it's going to tie in with the new story arc between Cygnar and Khador that seems to be the "Main" plot right now. This takes place after the MkIII timeskip.
Hellslingers 1: Mark of Caine is about the Cygnaran Captain Allistar Caine and picks up after the events of Blood of Kings, however it is unclear what effect this story will have in the larger world as well. This takes place after the MkIII timeskip.
Wrath of the Dragonfather is the end of the Champion Athanc storyline that started in MkII Forces of Warmachine: Cryx and continued through Wrath, Colossals, Vengeance, and Reckoning. It takes place before the MkIII timeskip.
Into the Storm and Into the Wild follow a group of Cygnaran Storm Knights during the Sul-Caspian war during the early days of MkI and then on a subsequent adventure some months later. They do not touch on the overall plotline and take place before the MkIII timeskip. The Mercenary model Savio Acosta was introduced as a character in these books.
Wicked Ways is a collection of short stories centered around the Strangelight Workshop and leads up to the appearanceof the Grymkin faction in the setting. It takes place after the MkIII timeskip.
The Black River Irregulars are a series of books about a mercenary company. I haven't read all of these but I believe all but the newest one takes place before the MkIII timeskip and none of them touch the main plot. The Mercenary model Elish Garrity was introduced as a character in these books.
The Warcaster Chronicles and The Warlock Saga books tell the origin stories of their respective subjects. The Way of Caine covers a key bit of info that expands on the start of the Khadoran invasion storyline from MkI, otherwise all of the books only effect the main plot in that they talk about the important characters of the setting. All of these currently take place before the MkIII timeskip.
Rites of Passage is a collection of short stories about the character Journeyman warcasters from each of the six Warmachine factions (Allison Jakes, Tristan Durant, Aiakos, Malakov, Elara, and Gaston Crosse) and covers their early days of training in their nations. These take place at a variety of times before the MkIII timeskip and all of the characters have since received epic versions as full Warcasters (Gaston has been tested and will release in December).
At What Cost is about Victoria Haley's struggle with the events from Warmachine: Wrath (I think? May have been Colossals) and the choices she has to make. This takes place during MkII but before Wrath of the Dragonfather.
Those are probably all the big "important" books. The rest are short story collections or side stories; I think there's a couple about the Mercenary Pirate Warcaster Shae but they don't have any impact on the rest of the story and I haven't read them. There's also a ton of stuff in various No Quarters and the IKRPG books have a ton of great background information. There's a list here of all the current (at the time in 2015) stories and their place in the timeline privateerpressforums.com/showthread.php?195787-The-Complete-Chronological-Iron-Kingdoms-Fiction&highlight=chronology but it hasn't been updated in two years.

I just bought the big bundle from humble bumble, and got me thinking about what order I need to read them in. For those interested in this bundle: www.humblebundle.com/books/warmachine-hordes-iron-kingdom-rpg-booksI had never bought any of the books previously, except some of the roleplaying ones and the gun mage ones on sale last week (grmbl) and this is incredible value, while supporting charity as well. Too good to pass up if you want to read some fluff.
